I have to admit, it is nice to see the Homeworld Clans get representation in some manner whether it ranges to decals or faction/totem mechs that were made by that clan. Even though I would love to see a full representation of clans as new factions someday, I think that decals and faction/totem mechs for both the IS and Clan will suffice for now. The Hellfire gives me hope that we will see more faction-oriented mechs down the line.

Unfortunately too many players in this game just say "F**** the lore". I personally only own Mechs that were available to Clan Wolf-In Exile (although I would not mind taking a Blood Asp as isorla), but I know that that is not for everyone.

The Marauder II is already in the game.

True, but at least there are a token few who can appreciate this gesture.

Of course we already have it in game, you just have to see it hard enough. That's all.Posted Image

no it isn't, actually, the Marauder IIC is.

the Marauder is a 75 ton heavy, the IIC is 85 tons.

the Marauder II, however, is a hundred-ton Assault made and operated by Wolf's Dragoons and originally by the SLDF. it's IS.

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Marauder_II

course, this only gets more confusing due to the Wolf's Dragoon's Clantech refit of the Marauder II, the..well... "Marauder II C"

You are correct, I forgot about that one. We have enough Marauders at the moment I think, I like seeing more obscure Mechs like the Hellfire though.

aRE YOU NEW or something ? PGI has never once revealed quirks on any new mech pack until a few days before the patch date in which the mech pack releases for play.

Huh, those max engine ratings are all over the place...

Not really... Check the HardPoint Count differences, and you'll see rather quickly why there are variants with lesser Max. Engine Ratings. :)

PGI has been doing rotations for their mech reveals going IS -> Clan -> IS -> Clan. Last month we got the Flea for IS, so it's the Clans for this month. Next month should give us another new IS mech.

No, I get that, I am just trying to think of another chassis that has such a large swing in rating between variants... (290-360!)

One of the things that helps you figure out how to handle your opponent(s) is knowing, like; "Oh, linebackers, they're gonna rush us", but here you would have to know which variants are potentially speedy and which ones are hardpoint-heavy...

...Its a different wrinkle...

Are the numerical variants standard mechs while the alphabet variants omni? Like the arctic wolf?

I don't understand why they haven't changed the sales model. This model was when u needed three to modify. Not everyone wants the base three models. And few would pay $45 for the "additional" variants if that was what one wanted.

Change the model to any three for $20....

They could always go back to the clan wave model. A la carte was $55 for 3 mechs with no premium time or other bonuses. One of the three mechs had a special pattern and +30% cbill boost. Thats it.

What I am saying is their pricing model is much better than it was. I know what you are saying but if they made it so no one would put in more than $20 a pack... ever, it would kinda limot their earning potential. Now perhaps if sales sucked they'll adopt such a model, but what they have now is so much better than the old a la carte system.

I am looking forward to this. When I was a teen I remember getting the field manuel Crusader Clans and this was one of the mechs inside it. I found the picture terrible but when used on TT this was a monster. I remember using it as my mech in some MechWarrior rpg games as well. Thanks for the nostalgia PGI can't wait to drop in this!

The omni Arctic Wolves are locked to 240 while the battlemechs can hit 365. Although if you want a purely battlemech example, the Cataphract 4X still has a 255 cap to the others' 340.

okay, thanks for pointing that out as the 'phract swing is pretty significant...
