-Begin Transmission-

To all involved in the war, after a year of operation, myself and the hussars have decided to recruit new blood. Expect training, tactics, active gameplay, mech builds, private minigames (such as raven dodgeball) and flexibility in faction play as we are mercenaries.

Come join our motley group with other games aswell because we all understand a break from big stompy robots is needed from time to time. Then jump back in with a squad at your side and lead the charge to victory.

Message me privately or comment below and myself or another hussar will invite you into a group, play a few games with you (secretly judge you) and if you have what it takes, invite you to the unit.
We use Discord or ingame chatter and we have a facebook page for events and news.

-End Transmission-

just an advisory
I suspect one of the moderators will come by soon and move this to the faction play forum, as recruitment threads are not supposed to be in this forum (or at least did not used to be considered acceptable).

there is no problem putting something in your signiture or if someone specificly asks for unit invites but creating threads or even just posts for the purpose of recruitment, unless replying to someone specificly asking what is available in New Player Help is likely to get the thread/post moved or removed.

on a related note, why do we not have a subforum here for units that explicitly open to recruiting and helping new and inexperienced players?

The whole idea of this recruitment is to help newer players whom I would not place in FW straight away, doesnt make sense to post it there but if a mod would like to move this post then fair enough

Raven dodgeball is equal teams, 0 armour raven 4x with quirks turned off, biggest xl engine possible, jumpjets and a single ac20.... 1 shot kills, very fast games and very fun. Its also abit of training piloting fast mechs and also hitting fast mechs with a projectile

Seconded. We made the same "misfile" a while back, but there really is a difference between regular "guild hall" recruitment and new player help. We posted the "KineticX's Guide" and "Tactics_101" comics in new player areas in the house teamspeaks. I am also aware of the "Havoc Expeditionary Legion", which is the MWO arm of a multi-game community that is by charter a training unit...Seems to me, otherwise, mostly it's luck if they run into the units willing to work with and train new players, or have a in-house "training company" or "galaxy". So- vaguely relatedly:

Hey Captain,we did something like this a while back - it's worth glancing at; and then part 2? https://mwomercs.com...t-the-reserves/
So- that was a while back; but as you can see we're somewhat on the same page, the ReSeRVes [RSRV] is under a new "instructor" so to speak; and uses old " comstar" common-ground teamspeak when not on a mech bay tour for tha' new fellas (old 'common-grounds-comstar-TS address is 54.172.1.90 ).
So, unless you insist on hidin' in your own pool; what 'd like to recommend is a get together with the new RSRV trainer/facilitator,his RSRV alt can be found, thus: (post 85) https://mwomercs.com...68#entry6040668
--as you can see, they've quite the rolodex of support - get ahold of Ralphy, maybe speak with SirHavoc's mwo arm as well, and collaborate.

Your timing could not be better! I'm returning to the game after about two years, so I'm mostly familiar with what everything is and how it works, I just need to get some knowledge on how to maximize my effectiveness with different builds. I generally play mediums because I like to buzz around the fringes of the core mech group, providing 2nd line damage, some scouting, and being tanky enough to distract the enemy and absorb some shots for my team. I currently only own a SHD-2D, SHD-2D2, SHD-2H, HBK-IIC, and WHM-6D.

None of my friends are really interested in this game, so I figured I should join a group. I'm on central time, usually on after 7pm on weekdays, any time on weekends.

Kill first, calculate later
