Solaris is already farming the bads out. The problem is that if you're bad in FW you're going to get into Solaris and be happy to make it up to 0.5 w/l.
I feel like I spent the day throwing kittens into a woodchipper. The problem is that as soon as you get into the top 20 or so you'll have matches again and again against the same people, soaking losses as the top 50+ stratifies - at which point I get to play the same 5-10 players again and again and again as we all work to refine down the 1, maybe 2 best possible optimal builds for the division.
It's going to be fun, for maybe another 4 or 5 days. At that point the "question" Solaris posits will be answered.
FW has orders of magnitude more strategic and tactical depth. In a way I'm greatful for Solaris - it gave PGI some experience on building a slick, clean interface and an appreciation for the power of the little things. It's also going to crush the illusions of thousands of players who need those illusions crushed so the can see the power of teamwork.
