Since MWO is losing 32-bit support, how about a native Linux client, since the 32-bit client generally had to be run with WINE on Linux. Besides that, it's 2018, so there's no reason not to have a Linux client.

I half suspect they're getting rid of the 32-bit just to prevent people from running it in Wine...

Guess I'll wait for a DXVK or whatever needed to use DX11. According to what I know, Wine supports 64-bit applications...

Wine only supports SOME 64-bit programs... It's a very short list, and all of them have major problems.

Well, the applicaation report and bug reports will not do themselves. And I'm currently not able to do some testing due to lack of hardware.

WINE support for 64bit applications being sub-par is reason enough for a dedicated Linux client.
Hopefully MW:O will switch to UE eventually - that engine makes releasing linux versions easier.

Due to the MWO licensing from Microsoft, they are unable to provide a client for any OS other than Windows. Anyone get this working for 64bit?

And that's a B$ in my opinion. So they say "Embracing Linux", but in this they're throwing crap. Damn.
Next time I would see a "BattleTech" named title with "combined arms", FP as primary mode with base building, based in 3025 (4th Sucession), 3050 (Clan Invasion), 3133 (Gray Monday) or 3150 (ilClan Era, i hope).
Anyway I'm happy that HBS is working on Linux support at least.
And Idk, since my only Linux hardware is too old. And 32-bit only.
