Just remove all the stupid warhorns and custom geometry on QP and Factions Play. This ruin the entire immersion of the game.

Well, to be honest it is nice to have a mode for those who don't want to play with 12 men groups or get shouted at by them. But I agree with you on FW. Knowing the fact that we are also getting a Faction wipe for Season 2, I am considering not to choose a faction until FP gets an improvement.

- End of 32-Bit Support
Here's another one that upsets me, albeit I can count myself lucky to still be able to have enough computer (64-Bit CPU, 64-Bit OS, and 16 GB RAM) to play. PGI has, without any Proper Large-Scale Announcement that provided enough time in advance, dropped a whole chunk of their player base. Anyone still on an Old 32-Bit CPU or 32-Bit OS has just been told they're Effectively Banned until such time as they go buy New Hardware. Worse, I've seen what trying to use the 64-Bit Client on anything less than 16 GB Total System RAM causes, and that problem is Random Crashes. (For reference, I actually had to use 32-Bit MWO on a 64-Bit System until I upgraded from 8 GB RAM to 16 GB RAM.) I guess the Minimum System Requirements just increased hard for MWO, and that's going to narrow the crowd of who can play... Not good at all, and makes me wish that PGI had better announced their intentions earlier on. This kind of abandoning is going to likely net them a lot of bad reviews on the Internet.
I beg to differ here. PGI announced that it would be dropping support quite some time ago. Not sure how long it is and I'm probably not going to bother to look, but I'm pretty certain that it is known for at least 3 months now. There was also a dedicated news post in regards to that.
According to Steam statistics there are about 2% of users that run 32-bit Windows systems. While I can agree to the point that this statistic does not represent all the players out there, I am quite confident that we can use it as a good guideline. Even if we double that, we get to 4% of the playerbase. I am quite confident that it is not worth it to invest resources into having the 32-bit client operational.
As to the RAM specs, I run Win 10 64-bit on a 5 year old machine, i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM. Unless I alt-tab or tab in at the wrong time and basically cause the game to crash, I am having zero issues. I am pretty certain that 8GB is quite enough even for the 64-bit client.
I am quite confident that there are only a few players that will have real issues with the removal of 32-bit support. Having a rig that is not 64-bit capable most probably means that you are barely able to play the game anyway, as it is most probably 10+ years old. The system will also quite probably have a maximum capability of 4GB RAM. One may consider himself lucky that his machine runs at that age and I could imagine it is of not much use beyond web browsing these days.
And on top of all of that there is the thing that players that are not able or willing to invest in their gaming rigs are most probably not able or willing to invest into the game - and money is needed to keep the lights on and fund development of the game. Thus, investing resources to cater to this group literally does not pay off.

I have been Clan Wolf since 1999. FW (or whatever they call it in the moment) is the key motivation for this game to exist. There are literally thousands of options, things to consider and ways to move forward... but all we do is moving backwards (reducing the factions to basicly 2 (IS vs Clan) has been an ill-adviced move, but since then nothing really changed). Noone actually cares if a planet is lost or conquered. It just does not make a difference. And on top of that they are pushing in more and more nonsense stuff (I consider most of the "comp" stuff to be nonsense and a niche-product compared to FW as the main area of play). This is all just like noone knew really what to do. A reset of the map? Ok, then... Oh wait... what was the status of the map currently? Was the invasion a success... was...? Oh, it has been reseted already. Starting again to mean nothing, coming from nothing. A real shame given the very rich BT-Universe that could be exploited for stories and background.

part of the problem for me is that the majority of folks that play seem to have the attitude that everyone elses health sitrep is as good as theirs is, or better.. " you don't need no zoom at 600 m range", or "how could you miss, why did you twitch your aim as you fired" are just a couple of examples of negative comments from other players over the years... some folks are able to see that good, others can't... some folks have nerve damage, others don't... before you go to make a comment like those I mentioned above, think about it before you say something... Things like diabetes can affect vision and the nerves... I don't like the way the gauss rifles work, as for me the little box regarding the charging of the gauss rifles is a bit hard to see with everything else I need to keep an eye on... so I don't use gauss rifles...

I suspect these restrictions are all aimed at preventing B33f-like one shot builds ie. the Direstar (and others like it).
Yeppers...since damage to your own mech(s) ends when the last enemy player dies and the match finishes... in a 1v1 match... a direstar volley could one-shot kill an enemy with no risk of blowing yourself up from overheat damage because the match would end as you auto-shutdown. .

I also noticed the high numbers of clan lights and mediums in tier-2.
Does this reflect the true, hard numbers confirmation that the clan light and medium chassis are far superior to the Inner Sphere counterparts???
For that matter, I'm seeing a higher percentage of clan tech in all the higher tiers respectively.
I guess these numbers will finally end the debate about which chassis are superior.
How does the saying go - numbers don't lie, but liars figure???
Peace
Given that in solo QP I routinely exceed the damage and match score of every assault on the team (not to mention a distressing amount of time, the entire charlie lance combined...yay Tier 1), in a 45 ton shadow cat with streaks... yes... clan mediums are certainly better than many IS heavies and assaults.

Can we have Kallin Industries as patron in Div 1 and Starcorps in Div 2, or just 1 patron period?
Do achievements work in Solaris mode? Will headshots count towards head capper etc.?
Edit- will Solaris maps be available to explore in training grounds?

The only thing miserable about it is that it is completely open and surrounded by land areas that everyone can focus fire on you from, so yes it is not sound tactics to be in that water any longer than you should be. That being said though, I would love to have realistic hydrodynamics, especially on River City just so that people can be punished for that horrible tactical decision (which is not any different from the way people who stand in the lava on Terra Therma are punished for not taking a heat efficient build).

Three notes pop to the top of my mind in regard to your post...
1.) Keeping the lights on and having the Real $$$ for development also requires a large enough player base to be present to prevent long match queue times. If enough of that player base isn't online enough of the time, then new players coming in are going to get fed up and leave because they're either finding it takes too long to get a match, or they're mentally out-of-gear by the time they can get one and get pugstomped because of it. Patience does not come in great amounts from the current new player climate, sad to say.
2.) When a company -- in this case, PGI -- is already down to a reduced player base due to many past failures, further reducing it by kicking people out over being unwilling to deal with their tech limits only hurts the company, as it wipes out the player count present in the queue. This then cascades back into Point #1, as queue times increase. People become fed up and leave, queue times get even worse, and ultimately MWO will become a Ghost Town. I hate the idea of this being reduced to that.
3.) All the previous announcements about the End Of 32-Bit Support before the March-to-May Roadmap Update have unfortunately not been Large Blazing Alerts. (Frankly, I'm not sure there were even any before that, as my memory is having trouble thinking of any recall-worthy indications prior to the Roadmap Update. If there are earlier ones, please show me the earliest, but I fear that earlier one wasn't major at all...) That's only been 1.5 months, far less than what is considered an appropriate amount of time, even by Micro$oft's standards, and that's saying something! If PGI had really wanted their player base prepared, there should have been a Huge Announcement at least 6 months before this had been done.
...and with that, I need to stop to eat a meal. However, thanks for the discussion value.
By the way, I'm glad to hear you're having a more stable time on an Intel CPU. It's probably because I'm having to use an AMD CPU that I encountered issues with the lack of RAM versus MWO's 64-Bit Client, at least until I upgraded to 16 GB.

I mean, it's literally just a few dozen of people out of the active playerbase, at most. If they take the resources required for 32-bit and use them to polish 64-bit, perhaps making it more stable or faster, I'd say it helps more than keeping the obsolete version alive as the product may attract and keep more users. I'm pretty sure it is a sound strategy.

I think at least a part of the load times is related to information exchange with the MWO servers. So from my understanding it will only improve performance on your systems local load times but not the ones caused by the MWO server updates when entering the home screen.

Wait what? that means that you can't play on a laptop at all now? I've been playing at this resolution since closed beta on a desktop!!
It's almost as if you don't want people playing this game.....You're making it easy for people to leave!

What's the difference between the four levels of rarity?
What reason would I have to choose a Common over an Ultra-rare or vice versa?
How are supply caches even acquired?
