Your Opinion On Which Mechs Would Be Popular For Solaris 7?

I have a Direwolf in my mech bays and am thinking maybe I could do some serious damage in the division it is in.
What are your opinions as to which mechs would potentially be top performers or popular?

Fortunately most mechs can do this mixed weapon-type load-out so I think what weapons may be more important than which mechs, however it is certain some mechs do some things better. It will be interesting to see which mechs are best at Solaris, just bring full leg armor because the Leggers will abound.

Dire Wolves would be neato on the high damage output side of things, but would be easily demolished by Annihilators in the tier.
My idea on best mechs per divison:
1: ANH-2A
2: AS7-D, ARC-5W
3: HGN-733C
4: BL-7-KNT
5: KTO-18
6: HBK-4G, CN9-AH
7: SHD-GD
This is assuming a brawler centric setup. Annihilator being immune to the brawler centric requirement due to potential loadouts that are equally powerful. 2v2 would basically be picking two of the same mech, focus fire one guy first, focus fire the other guy. Kinda the same idea but one guy on each side is getting double teamed if the sides are working optimally.

What not to bring: Clan Mechs with searing hot Laser vomit. Sorry, they kicked that double enhanced coolshot crutch out from under you.

Ishiyama? Well, that one we'll have to wait and see. In the lore of Solaris, Ishiyama wasn't just a cave. It had an array of traps such as pits, anti-mech mines, and other nonsense to mess with the competitors. Also, no map, so you have no idea where you are going.

Yeah people who have been dependent on ultra high alpha, coolshot dependent build will have trouble here.
I've always built for sustainability as I like to stay shooting all the time and not waiting to cool off.
I'm pretty stoked about this release, especially while no one as "figured it out".
By that, I mean, over time, a meta will set in, and you'll start seeing less variety of builds, and less variety of mechs.
Though for me, I'll never bring the metamech, never been a metamech dude. I like playing as an underdog.
But in the beginning it'll be cool
I HOPE they have frequent restricted events forcing people out of meta. For example, you may bring an AC20, but you may not pair it with PPCs. Or forcing the use of 1Hgauss instead of 2. Laser vomit only, conversely, ballistics only or any permutation.
Maybe eventually have different divisions/classes, like racing, or bodybuilding. Open division for no restriction play, then others where restrictions are enforced.
