During this match I tried to employ a tactic that has worked really well for me in the past. The Alpha lance members were not too keen on the tactic. So... I just did it myself and well... was it a good tactic or not?

I'm looking for criticism and opinions on this tactic. The tactic I'm referring to is this.
Frozen city Domination. Alpha lance heads to E4 and engages the Charlie lance keeping them out of the circle. This allows the friendly Bravo and Charlie to overpower the enemy in the circle then deal with charlie lance at leisure.

Well that seems suicidal. Yes with fast mid range mech I often can go to poke the assults from their back, but I try to be little more sneaky, ofter poking from the middle exit of that tunnel complex. Most assults won't try to chase you there even if you don't have ECM.
I think what you did was more benefital in making the enemy team split more and waste time more on you, than keeping them out of circle part.

I've had groups that heeded my call and harassed the heavies. Sometimes resulting in several kills on the enemy charlie lance. Despite this being a huge benefit to the team members in the circle, I've seen friendly bravo and charlie lances fail to win despite the armor and firepower advantage. But for the most part it has been a successful tactic.

Sound tactic but very timing reliant. send Alpha in to soon and the enemy can respond with Charlie and Alpha and if you team's Bravo and Charlie don't push the advantage of having the enemy delayed then all you risk is losing alpha lance while your bravo and charlie sit in cover with thumbs up their collective behinds.
