PGI has all the excels so don't worry guy

Yes... like the excel files that told them the Locust 1V was over performing about a year or two ago.... back before the rescale...

I question where and how they gather their data, as it is often non-reflective of what is actually seen in game.

Those of us who have been here from the beginning can always count on any thread discussing PGI and their response to player concerns/imput to create some chuckles....bitter,ruefull chuckles, but chuckles none the less.

They listen to feedback from the forums and even Reddit. Chris seems especially interested in what people have to say. ((That doesn't mean call him out to get attention)) But just because they listen to feedback. Does NOT mean they will implement. Let's be real here. This isn't Twitch Plays Pokémon. It would be a clustercuss if they did everything everyone said. Because everyone thinks they know what is the right change at any given moment.

When PGI has made changes the community has asked for. People inevitably pipe up with "Who asked for this!?". Can't make everyone happy. Which is not to say people shouldn't give feedback. But we can't just grab a few people and say they're the voice of the community. Because the community doesn't agree.

I think I would rather see Town Halls again with the most popular forum questions asked on stream and then answered by the devs. At least you get a sense of interaction. Even if the devs don't agree with people's opinions.

The problem with much of the feedback that is posted on this forum and reddit is that it is self serving and does not take into account what is best for the game as a whole. Rather it is aimed in changing the game to make it the way that a person or small group of people think it should be and to hell with anyone who disagrees with it.

Sometimes, I honestly think that PGI listens to certain segments of this community too much and as a result their kneejerk reactions have proven to be detrimental to the game in many instances. It does not help that the end goal for MWO seems to be constantly shifting. Trying to satisfy such a diverse community that includes hardcore BattleTech fans, MechWarrior computer game fans and a bunch of FPS fans who really have no interest in BT lore or BT rules is pretty much an impossible task because all of these people have vastly different and vastly divergent ideas of what MWO should be.

I hope they have learned from the experience of making MWO and that for MW5 they decide what kind of game they want to make and then just do it without allowing themselves to be diverted from their goal.
