For real can none of you actually be happy? I suck in 1v1 but damnit I actually like Solaris. PGI is trying and it shows. Is this a re brand? Yes. Does it deserve hate? No. It needs tweaking for sure but it's not the reason dumpster fire everyone says it is. Do you want the game dead? I don't.

Nope, boring as heck, money spent on this could have been used to improve MWO.

Personally, I like it..

It's something different than the norm.. And when I get tired of all the bad losses in QP and one-sided stomp in FW, I can duke it out and improve my Zellbrigen-fu in 1vs1 or team up with BAE and go 2vs2..

I like the competitive nature, although I know I will never be in the top 20..

It is fun to play however..

Once all the bugs get sorted out..

Solaris lets me indulge in my inner Gojira a bit more than QP. Assaults that have otherwise been too slow for the QP environment are seeing new life on the Game World.

I quite like it.

I feel like The Professor dunking on Atlases in my Nova. Then I take that confidence and go into quickplay with the $500 Golden **** and get 700dmg games, assassinating assaults and heavies.

For a high profile duelling mode the presentation is kinda lacking.

Typical PGI laziness.

My Solaris 7 experience is comprised of getting absolutely **** on by Vindicators, but being too stubborn to change divisions or switch to a Vindicator myself.

I think I actually just hate myself, and my performance reflects that fact.

All I can hear inside my own head as those 228 Vindicator 1X mongrels snap my legs off like a side dish at Red Lobster is this:

Played some S7 yesterday. I while it was entertaining I feel the mech divisions leave allot to be desired. It seems like some someone at PGI put all the mechs on a dart board, closed their eyes and threw a dart. If they hit a mech that one went in D1, next one in D2 and so on. I do like the maps and the improvements to the mech bay does fancy up the game a bit. I feel like sometimes they have good ideas that are just poorly implemented. I think a game mode closer to the old mech warrior games would be fun. 4 player lance with missions type of thing. Invade a base with tanks and turrets, AI controlled mechs, choppers, ground troops with rpgs and such or destroy a guarded convoy. That type of thing. Maybe im way off base, but thats my feeling. Thoughts???

I'm 90% sure they only used the judgement of people who've never played a single mech game to create the divisions. Some of these choices are ridiculous.

And while I would LOVE a coop mode with some sick mecha destruction, they're funneling all that into MW5 so you can buy your happiness.

Good for you. Some people don't.

No it doesn't. Fundimental problems with the game continue to exist, from balance issues (The divisions are a joke) to performance issues (Rather than try and fix the atrocious load times, PGI just keeps throwing crap in to make them worse, there only concession to the problem being an admission it exists in the same patch notes where they make them worse).

Despite the fact that PGI continues to mess stuff up, as I said in the previous examples, that's not the main issue most of the "negative" people seem to be having. Problem is, there are fundamental facets of Solaris (1v1s) that make the mode completely unenjoyable to some or most people, regardless of how it's implemented, but since PGIs put all their eggs in the basket, those people are basically ****ed. The game no longer serves them (Beyond what already exists, anyway).

That, of course, doesn't necessarily mean Solaris is bad. Not every game has to serve every single person. But that doesn't mean we have to be happy about it and slob the knob of a mode we despise.
