How are you guys chatting during the match? Mine says global chat disabled whenever I enter the loading screen for the Solaris matches.

You probably need to enable all chat in your settings. Why it's disabled as the default, I will never know. But you do have to opt in to it.

It has been surprisingly good, so far. Compliments (“nice shot, brutal build you have there, etc”) are much more frequent that salt (in Victory or defeat). I think many are just trying to figure out what can work well, so if they get beat it just gives them ideas on what to run (or not run) or just how to play the mode. Probably won’t stay like that for long...

Legging. Just legging. Posted Image

It's all brawling, just brawling, I am disappointed. Could have been the real deal.

My first match I had a guy go legs on my very obviously XL running Jester. Most people aren't really that attentive, they just shoot legs because they can't deal with the possibility of torso twisting.

i know i had a king crab i was shooting at, some of my mrms went wide and the leg was cherry without being focused. so i switched to legs, 2 seconds later i was victorious.

I have to agree. I usually try to type in GL HF before. Wish we could type it in during the opening mech startup, before Duncan Fisher starts talking, since that is wasted time anyway.

Some guy tried to leg my Annihilator. It ended poorly for him. Only played like 20 games so far, but it's usually guys shooting CT's.

Was probably me in my little 9A1. Sorry, but I had to go for what could possible be the weakest points against a dual HG Anny. Would try to compete by doing doing the same load out, but the 9A1 is the only Victor without torso armor quirks. Too easy to crit and become a walking stick.

I remember the write-up for the Hero Roughneck and wish we could enable open mic with the opponents. I, too, have had some really great experiences. One person was trying to suggest that my leg healed at one point but I think it's because right as we had a wall between us and the match timed out it finally blow apart, lol. I don't count that as salt though. I always type in a 'Greetings! :)' when I can anyway, so it's just habit.

Nothing negative to report so far. Most games end with a "GG" or a brief exchange.

Haven't had a bad experience in chat yet. Worse was just someone that didn't say anything at all.

Some folks (myself included) have global chat disabled. So don't look badly on those who don't say anything, they may have just forgotten to enable it for S7.

*ahem* (chair scrapes floor as grizzled old MechWarrior stands)

My Names NeonKnight...and...*wipes tear from his eye*...I'm a legger!

Now, I've won my share of matches, and I've lost my share. Currently only playing in Division 6, and frankly all I see there is Centurions with Heavy Machine Gunes/SRM 6's or Centurions with AC 20's. So, a little legging helps even the odds.

Sportsmanship overall has been positive, granted the bad apples on the first day have left, leaving only those with a better attitude in Solaris.

I even managed to have a 3 minute chat with some people, and let others win because I had the weight advantage. Operator knows what I mean.

one D-bag so far.

Could have ended the match after i lost one weapon and ran out of ammo for the others trying to slow him down. (Cnt V. Osiris)

Zero problems with using your abilities, but then to sit there after that, leg me once and farm the other components until 2 seconds left and then say "u mad?" My response was something other than GG, :)

Funny, i got him again and he disco'd so since i was bored, i found him, stripped everything off of him waited another minute then finished it.

I just keep chat turned off. Prevents the rage messages from going either direction.

I've had only positive exchanges. Hell, I was raging my first 8-10 matches because I felt like I only owned mechs that were bad at solaris (I mean I do but oh well) and I was really struggling to have fun in this new game mode I was actually really looking forward too. I let a couple pilots who wafflestomped me know that and both were more than wiling to give advice and tips on how to 1v1 better, or why specific mechs are doing so poorly in certain divisions. Some of it was even outright helpful.

The most negative thing so far has been total stomps where you try to be a good sport and there is nothing but destructive silence. I SAY GOOD DAY SIR!

Yeah, normally in QP or even more rarely in FP, I say nothing in Chat, but in S7, I start every match with a GOOD LUCK and end with a GG.

but I will be honest, 90% of matches its just me and Duncan it seems who speak any english. :(
