Rather than sitting there helplessly staring at that spinning yellow circle, it would be nice to allow the matchmaking algorithm to continue in the background after selecting your match type, much in the same vein as games like Rainbow Six Siege, which lets you continue doing things like browsing the store, making gear changes, etc.

Also, I would like to suggest an "auto-join invasion/scouting" function, allowing a player to opt into the queue, which will continue in the background as suggested above.

Why this has not been implemented yet I don't know. Then again I also don't know why the friends list has not been fixed yet either.
