Plz Plz. Take out the mech quirks on S7. There are only the quirks of the mech iron pellets or the tech that you can not apply to the mech as the Mualer armor does not work. It has the example of division 7 that and a joke has mech has more shielding than the own one. MC mech realy.

The quirks play an important role in balancing the chassis against each other.

the Mualer armor does not work.
Most Maulers are in Div 1, duking it out with Annihilators and the like, the only exception being Knockout.

You mean the Vindicator?
VND-1X with max armor and full survival tree gets 53/19 armor/structure in arms, 74/30 sides, 91/38 center and 73/30 legs.
Maulers with max armor and full survival tree get 67/30 arms, 84/61 sides, 129/74 center and 84/48 legs.
Were you trying to run it on stock armor values and distribution? If so, that one's on you. A Solaris mech has to have max - or nearly max - armor and at minimum eight armor nodes in Survival tree.
Other than that, if your armor doesn't work then you're not rolling damage properly.

Check your information, not the PGI database because of the quirks data and joke. Mualer is described as special shielding. Already VND-1X and a mech joke have soft armor. Posted Image Posted Image

No, per Sarna it uses regular Ferro-Fibrous Armor - the "New Samarkand Royal" branding is just fluff with no mechanical effect. Same applies to "Starshield Special-b" branding on the Annihilator's Standard Armor.

That was incomprehensible. Try rephrasing?

The answer is the following using this example and the images disclosed. My mech does a total of 35 damage. Posted Image

Posted Image

Joining this shield was the structure plus the FerroFibrous and over 10 * 2.1% in the armor skills. How much will you give? I only have 35 damage. Posted Image

Ah, there we go... Ferro-Fibrous armor does not increase your durability. It just reduces the tonnage your armor takes up.

All right, thanks for the heads up. I already know the mech is frail and the community did not liked it that much.

I'm all for under dog mechs but have to admit the only role I found to work personally on the uziel was as a ppc poptart which it does decently. From memory I used heavy PPC's but its been a while now. That said its not good when I compare it unfavourably to my Vindicators though I have weirdly always enjoyed those. ;)

Still a free mech is a free mech. :)

I've rejigged mine to fit an MRM/10 and three machine guns in place of the LBX, and it serves me well enough. I left the engine stock, but shifted the armour distribution around a bit. I'm happy with mine.

Responds Posted Image . FF should be given more protection so the PGI lady does not want to insert the other shielding in the game. Two examples -Reactive Armor -Reflective Armor

So S7 and joke. No skills required. Only know how to use the rules. Posted Image Posted Image

Thank you PGI for free mech!
See a lot of complaints in topic and off topic stuff.
But no matter how many mechs owned, I always appreciate getting a free mech. :)

FF never did that in tabletop. It provides more points per ton, but a point of Ferro is equal to a point of Standard - their mass is the only difference.
The armor type you're actually thinking of was the Hardened Armor, which does provide more protection per point but was not in mass production until 3090s.
You were basically complaining that PGI doesn't follow your personal house rules which disregard the technological canon entirely.

so the PGI lady does not want to insert the other shielding in the game. Two examples -Reactive Armor -Reflective Armor
If you only read the articles on Sarna with a degree of comprehension you'd understand that many specialized armor types do not become available until much later in the timeline - Reactive and Reflective Armor in 3080s, Ballistic-Reinforced Armor in 3130s and Impact Resistant Armor in 3100s.

So S7 and joke. No skills required. Only know how to use the rules. Posted Image Posted Image

Actually, S7 requires skills - in building mechs, in recognizing enemy loadout from the preview, in developing a strategy to counter the enemy loadout, in using the environment to your advantage and, yes, in actual combat. If you expect only a single skill to carry you to victory, you've lost before the match has even begun.

LOL...Starshield special was a brand name of armor, there was nothing particularly "special" about it. In real world present day terms...its like one body armor maker using "kevlar" and another using "aramid fiber" while both are technically the same thing. Except the former is the trademarked name belonging to the Dupont company, and the other is the generic term for what kevlar is.

Read on... he expects Ferro-Fibrous to provide additional armor, like Hardened Armor does in tabletop (WTF?).
Also, he apparently wanted to play Solaris with an almost-stock Vindicator.

I didn't know that... I feel silly now :(

Why is there 6% and 12% more protection mentioned in the description then in-game ?!

You get more points per ton from Ferro compared to Standard armor. But a point of Ferro is equal to a point of Standard in every way except weight.
