Is Solaris Nothing But Shooting Legs?

Yes I fully understand shooting out the legs is a perfectly viable tactic, but its pretty ridiculous that every fight I get into has the enemy aiming straight the hell down.
Remembering the good old days on MSN gaming zone, constant legging would get you kicked from servers and was seen as "pathetic" in terms of skill. Is that honor gone now?

Go for the CT, it has nearly half the HP of both legs
Go for the Face, he won't be making that mistake anymore
If they are twisting, do your best.
You can also cheese it by hiding in a corner, sacrifice one leg, and keep the other protected from most angles
Works fairly well on anything above 30 tons, the nimbler things can bypass it though
Can be boring, however. I did it to specific Pilots whom I couldn't beat in a fair fight.

I do think legging needs to be addressed. because legging a mech should just disable its movement not kill it outright.
either that or legging should be more difficult than it is now. maybe make the shock absorbance skill reduce fall damage by 10% as well as all damage to legs by 2-3%.

Pathetic indeed.
You're just a troll kiddo. Seriously, if you have a difference of opinion then voice it. Theres no need to come in and insult someone who stated a fact.

I just find it funny that every person I come up against has literally designed their mech to come with 90m and just spray at the legs. I wouldnt even be against it if they were literally labeled as someone who shoots the legs.

If you're talking about the original MechWarrior that I remember playing (as in, the multiplayer version of the first ever MechWarrior made, which I think was titled "Multiplayer BattleTech") the difference is that back in that game if you lose ONE leg, you were done for and the fight was pretty much over as you wound up flat on your back and would never get back up.
In MWO, your opponent needs to take BOTH legs out from under you before it's a wrap, leaving you a fighting chance if you only lose one (unless you're a light). As somebody else already pointed out, taking out both legs technically takes twice as long as going through the center torso. And remember: Just as you can torso twist to spread out the damage, so too can you twist your legs to put a bad one in front of a good one.

You don't like that someone used a perfectly legit way to kill your mech because you wanted to fight differently? That sucks, too bad. This game is full of situations when that happens. I don't like srm brawling for example, it doesn't mean I will keep dropping high alpha laservomit and say people that use srm brawlers have no honour

Pgi should allow more armor on the legs.

I mean, were the rebels being cheap, dishonorable and unfair for tripping the AT-ATs?

I checked my Stalker and it has 109 front armor (9 rear) and a max of 78 armor for each leg which equals 156 total so more like a third more armor. And shielding a leg with your other leg isn't nearly as quick as torso twisting/can mean depriving you of the ability to quickly return fire. And once you take the first leg, with a lot less dmg output, it pretty well negates the armor advantage of the CT...

For all we know he mostly just face tanked. And of course an example does not a rule make.

CT is certain and less armor then both legs my general rule never leg a mech above heavy it ain't worth it.

Not when the guy staring at your legs is actually shorter than your legs itself.
