If a hard reset is done, I think it is going to be very painful for those with low ELOs if they are going to get farmed again.

Maybe those in danger of getting farmed see it finally as incentive to improve ?

If the matchmaking rating system gets reset every sixty days then there isn't really a point to having a matchmaker in the first place, so I would hope it retains its value from season to season. I haven't explicitly read that anywhere though. They did say 'stats will be retained for posterity', so it's not like they're throwing away the data.

Just do soft reset. Drop everyone by 700 rating.

I dont think ELO should get reset.
Ever. Maybe the stats, your K/D or whatever (since if everyone stays in their ELOs, it will lead to much more accurate K/Ds than it is now, where i assume half of the people have it either inflated or deflated due to fighting players way above/below their skill rating).
