I have a potatoe laptop that I sometimes LRM away on when I'm away from my desktop, I used to be able to set the res to 1024x768 which allowed me to play in the 20-30 fps range but now I'm stuck at 1280x720 minimum since a reinstall due to a new hard drive. Is this due to the new patch and/or is there a way to manually set it to 1024x768 via a quick cfg edit? Thanks for your time.

Try playing with windowed mode.

Yes it is due to the last patch. And, I doubt there is a way to alter the minimum. Phasing out potato tops is intentional to make the game better for us living in 2018.

@Wedge: That may indeed be the case, however the patch language directly says resolutions BELOW 1024x768. Are the patch notes incorrect?

That's what had me confused as well.

Just looked at my attribute file and and it would appear PGI has removed the actual height/width pieces in the Saved Games MWO profile folder. They are instead using an ID # with 0 being the lowest resolution.

Send in a bug report. Either someone messed up the actual coding OR the Announcement notes are incorrect.
