Great numbers LUG. Your team must have been on the ball as well as you being on fire.

In the 2nd match, one guy convinced everyone to fight instead of taking their base. So I turned around and starting killing. And we lost. But look at my C-Bills and XP, it is almost the same which is why I posted this one after the first one.

(I have a sad clip that I did not post of the other team destroying our base to win, I was really pulling for our turrets)

Same mech, same map, same match. Totally different results and yet, close to the same C-Bills and XP. However, if we had won the 2nd one and I had the same stats, I would have made more money and more XP.

I'm Tier 3 for life and even a blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time :)

Because of the QP events this week did not play as much. FP. Now that you are IS next time I see you will be on the opposing side.

My last QP game last night was Conquest on The Mining Collective or TMC for short. The game was going well, so I switched gears and started capping. Next thing I know distress calls started coming in.
I was capping even harder then. Next thing I know I am last man standing and I am getting 40 pound bags of salt. Some memorable ones include you ran, you left your team behind, you are in a heavy why CAP, do not drag the game out we have lost.
The objective to Conquest is CAPs. We lost 400-500?,to 750.

Is this an example of group think? Do Objectives Even Matter anymore?

Yes.. I also get this in my Assault because Lights and Mediums aren't doing their job of SUPERIOR SPEED!
So Here I am a 100T mech *crawling around* trying to keep the fight in the game, when the Cap is against you, your OUT of time!
Acutally Yesterday, I had a Raven from my Own team (realised this after the match), come up to a Power node and shoot at me in the face, Me being a 100T mech decided to AC2 that Raven into parts -
Penalty -15,000 C-Bill - LuL

No one calls out any more, Even does what they want to do... that's typical on the Quick Play.

I'm usually the one, that is either Kill First - Big King Crab = Public Enemy No. 1 (despite smaller mechs having more Hardpoints = more firepower and are much faster - I digress "topic for another day") or I'm last surviving due to Lights either Hiding or Gun-Hoeing it.

It's rare that I can find people who actually use Voip to organise Co-ordinated game play...

Honestly it's not YOU ...

On most maps the caps are pretty close together, so after you kill the enemy team (should be eazy if they split up to cap) recapping is easy.

Good Luck with that!

Where assault mechs bring the armor + a ton of firepower, heavies tend to bring the most usable firepower.

Assaults = Armored Cannon Fodder, with Ok fire power

Mediums and Heavies have MORE fire power, more Hardpoints and More Speed! - They are the CRITICAL MASS in the game - Not Assaults

Even a Piranha's can have 2 small Lasers and 12 Machine guns! = Assault Killer.

Yes objectives matter. Some map/gamemode combos it matters more than others....

Mining Colony is so tight, any match can be played as if it were Skirmish. Caps rarely matter.

HPG skirmish....half one team will usually hide in the basement.

Crimson Strait Assault-mode matches are easily lost or won because one team piles into the tunnel or city and WAITS for the other team. Instead their opponents walk over the hill and base cap.

Alpine Domination-mode..should not have to explain if you have played it.

Frozen City Skirmish-mode the first team to take a causualty has to take the "March of Shame" across the valley. Nobody wants to be on that team.

We Need BIGGER Maps!

Frankly, the number of people in T5 and T4 that know what they are doing is fairly low. Nobody is doing what they are supposed to. I especially like the people hiding in cover and refusing to come out. I have lost Domination matches because I was the only one on point, was killed and nobody else bothered to move into the big yellow circle.

I have had matches where 11 people decided to try a flanking maneuver and were surprised at being picked off from behind. Whenever I play a light, I really groan when I get Domination or Conquest. I usually die when I try to play for the objective.

Nobody pushes, nobody communicates, nobody shares intel. I have warned people on voice about being flanked and nobody listens. /shrug

don't feed the troll.

Like with children, stand there looking amused while they scream and cry and when they're done flopping around and wailing, they'll figure it out and listen.

I have lost games due to not killing all the enemy and the 1-3 left grab the circle or those farthest caps, etc. I have also won the objective on Canyon Network by holding the enemy base. They sent three mechs one at a time to kill me or run me off. I first decided to pop tart me in my Orion IIC-SK. I hammered it with LRM-15s when it tried to cool down. When it left cover I shot it with UAC-10 fire, twin ERLLs,and twin ERMLs until it died. The second ran out shot me, I returned fire. It ran in cover I wounded it with LRMs. It then ran straight at me. After a barrage of UAC-10 plus lasers it lay smoking on the valley floor. The final attacker a relatively fresh Warhammer Black Widow finished me off. It lost an arm and a couple tons of armour. My company mates made short work of him and the other enemy holding our base. We won good stuff there. Objectives matter, YES but kills, kill assists, kill most damage done and damage pay better.

YUP. I'd rather lose a game where we kill 11/12 of the enemy than win a game where nobody fires a shot.
