Hi guys, just wondering now that Solaris is out, do you stop playing Quickplay or play both or just stick to Quickplay still?

I personally just experimented with Solaris but I still prefer Quickplay as I like having a team so I have currently stopped playing Solaris until there are interesting balance changes to match making and the currently not so well thought up divisions.

FP is the best of the modes :)

Solaris is hands down better as the new "quick play", I only play QP when I'm so drunk I can barely see straight now

I just don't see the point of playing a team game with 11 randoms, half of which will sit 3 squares behind looking at a hill. If I want to play in a team I will link up with people for FP or GQ

Order of fun:

1. Faction. Cause I'm in (MS).

2. Solaris. Cause I don't have to carry bads.

3. QP. When all else are not available.

I enjoy them both equally . Sometimes i want team buddies and sometimes i want to fight alone .

Although i suppose I rate FP better than both ?

stockmode>FP>QP>solaris

I play every mode sh*tfaced, nfg.

Solaris got some issues but it's a welcomed addition (i was totally uninterested in solaris pre release tbh). Better tier list and hitreg would be nice but oh well. Also love to fight some NZ guys in lights with 400+ ping. The Salt and insults are glorious, tho.

I am enjoying Solaris.

Dropping a lot of C-Bills buying skill points and equipment to try out different builds and had to go back to Quick Play to farm cash. :(

Solaris 1v1 is boring IMO... (can't speak for 2v2 mode) Very limited choices in strategies and tactics, and the meta for mech builds are close to useless in any other mode if you want to kill 2 or more enemies reliably.

I like being able to do a flanking maneuver, or a pincer attack, or firing line, etc... I don't like "run up to and facetank until your enemy dies".

That said, I'm very glad Solaris is here. The way they set up the Divisions is reviving a lot of mechs and variants that I haven't seen in common use in the past year or so, and they're bringing them into QP.

Mkxl for me. Got it for nine bucks. QP for me. Teams in qp are abysmal so I'm waiting a bit for the new-nes of s7 to wear out. As much as I like to 'show off' in an is light in qp with the same damage numbers as an assault along with the 2-3 kills I just don't feel like it right now when the good and better players are doing s7 leaving us crazy light pilots with sacks of spuds to kick around.

My cw time is done. I still drop with a few unit members in group play and private lobbies for the real fun stuff. 1 sml only no armor atlas night is one of our funnest 'theme night' creations.

QP is better than Solaris, in solaris every match is the same and the amount of viable weapons/builds is MUCH thinner.

Plus ypu need skill points maxed out to stand a chance against maxed opponents, stock mechs are a joke.

Most players get randomly matched and stomped.

On the whole I'd say I like quickplay more. There's just a lot more stuff you can do in QP. But 1v1 Solaris gets the blood pumping a lot more that quickplay does. Perhaps that's just because Solaris hasn't gotten repetitive yet for me (still around 40 games per division), time will tell.

For me, it depends on if I'm playing solo or with my significant other..

If playing solo, I do prefer Solaris 1 vs 1.

If playing with BAE, then QP group que..

As far as Faction play, I only play it if it's mornings EU time, cose' most of the toxic players are back in their caves at that time.. Only occasionally do I play it in NA prime time, but that usually doesn't last long, or if I'm in a large group..

QP: and only for events. There is nothing left in MWO since everyone I know has left the game en masse? Events only.

Tried S7 once and saw nothing value-added. All exploits will be refined soon (terrain, tactics, weapons) and then, let the boredom take over... We'll see, the quarterly division swap is the next test....

Never FP (other than scouting) and only at events. Too many bad experiences there. Too many friends left because of FP....

Siege and Conquest in FP, except the lack of matchmaker and horrible payout if you lose will forever keep me away from FP. Still hoping that PGI at some point reads a book on game design and realises the best game modes they have is kept in a terrible format and then salvage those for an actual objective mode instead of releasing more modes of basically deathmatch (Solaris 7 and QP).

Other than that, QP because at least has a tiny bit of strategy to it and the payout is more consistent.

Solaris is only fun when trying to create a build to counter the meta of a division.

Overall I prefer FP to both S7 and QP. Solaris and QP are about the same to me as far as level of interest, with QP being the preferred mode due to earning potential. S7 is fun and all, but the payout isn't enough to keep me playing.

Sad as it is - I prefer not to play MWO at the moment. Enjoy it while you can, at some point you will be burnt out as well.

I only play QP when Solaris and FW aren't really an option due to population and can only stand it for a handful of matches before I get reminded how incredibly stupid and incompetent most people are at, well, everything in life. It's so depressing I have to go do other things after a handful of matches.

Solaris more than QP, when I can play. Especially after that massive solo QP loss streak when trying to see what I would get from the third Supply Cache. Only wins I got were when I was able to get 5 KMDD, mostly from core killing fresh mechs from behind. Turns out, wasn’t worth the pain.

I’ll still do QP to get the daily bonuses this month. Just not another UAV one.

I have not been playing MWO since around 3-4 months.
Came back a few days ago. Here are my thoughts.
I find Solaris 7... Very underwhelming. I don't exactly know why, but everything in this mode is simply annoying - starting from the yellow HUD and ending with a necessity to sit through the interduction speech. It is cool that at least the announcer is the proper person. Performance went considerably down.
Wait times and population in the EU zone are almost as bad as for FP.
FP and Solaris before evening hours in EU zone basically put you against the same people over and over again.
QP is okay, but not enough to keep me invested after hundreds of hrs played.

I might stick around for some time, but in the long run I think I am beyond the point that any update can hook me back to MWO.
