The Annihilator is very likely to be the absolute strongest individual mech in the game if it could run Mixed Tech, though. I've wanted a 4x LB20X mech for a long time, and I know for a fact that PGI will do their damndest to make sure it never happens.

See, I knew that, because I tried it once, but the LFE thing babboozled me

I mean, you can't do that one regardless, because 2 cGauss fill up the entire ST. You're stuck with a Standard Engine if you want to pull that off.
Yeah, I f*cked up. For some reason I was thinking there were 14 open torso slots.

HBR and EBJ would be obsolete if the RFL, JM6, GHR, and WHM got access to Clan tech.

Imo in a good spot.
Mech wise, IS mechs are stronger individually, while Clan mechs are better in organized group fights. I'd still prefer it if PGI does an actual comprehensive balance so that top IS mechs do not need quirk crutches to go against the best Clan mechs.
Weapon wise, balance is closer than ever. There are several weapons on both sides that need more tuning to bring up to par.
Equipment wise, Clan tech is 100% superior, there is no doubt about that. Which contributes to the aforementioned quirk crutches.
