You have to put the laser nerf into historical context. This nerf will make clan ballistics more sexy again.
It will take the balancing master mind Paul Inouye at least one year to find out what to do next. (no I won't spoiler)

seriuosly? Atlas and annihilator are the main front line push mechs. and you guys wanna just nerf the mech armor and structure instead of ballistic weapons? you guys have no idea of what is the fundamental problem of game system... it will not solve the problem even if you guys nerf anni and atlas armor.

just buff the Atlas armor instead of redistribute armor from CT and leave anni god damn it

I don't know if PGI realizes how many lighter weight clan mechs are going to be hurt by being limited to 4 ERMLs or 1 HLL, those that aren't breaking the game in any way right now. Even some mediums with low free tonnage, like the Nova and Black Lanner lose so many options with these nerfs.

Just cancel those clan laser changes, at least for now. Vomit was the only somewhat competitive clan option, especially in CW. You need to boost clan ballistics if you want to bring such changes (like remove GH on 2 UAC20, 3UAC10).
Please RECONSIDER PGI.
This is coming from mostly a spheroid player.

Read whole thread and patch notes. Im an IS pilot and this nerf seems super heavy handed to me, if I was a Clan pilot I'd be pissed. Pgi, turn it back a little, what you suggested is not the way. It means just one thing now,
I need to buy a BlackKnight now haha. 60 alpha is OP.

please explain how the erml and medpl is doing 40% more per shot?..... not only do you guys need to learn how to balance with out gutting an entire play style, but some math would be nice too...

Erm...

5 x 1.4 = 7

So yeah, 40% higher for ERMLs

MPL are only 17% higher and could use a boost back to their pre-nerf 8 damage, which would put them 33% higher.

While they're at it, PGI should probably unlink Small & Medium laser groups for Clan and return the SPL to at least 5 damage, though probably not 6 just yet.

Unless I'm running a brawler or playing like an idiot (which is pretty often), HGauss are not an issue. I can count on one hand the number of deaths I've had from HGauss since Civil War. I can't say the same thing for any other weapon introduced in Civil War, not even RACs. Well, maybe Rockets. Yeah, OK, HGauss & Rockets Posted Image

I won't say a word about these weapon nerfs but will ask about my Atlai and Stalkers. AS7-BH, STK-M and STK-Fb will get new shiny armor quircks?

I cannot stress this enough, this limitation of lasers for clans just broke the clans for all but a very few mechs. Pgi you have made a terrible decision for sure. If you are going to continue forward with this, every clan mech 50 tons and above needs armor quirks and structure.
