This is such B.S. how someone thought this was a good idea needs a C.A.T. scan... so many iterations of IS mech brawling the "balance rule" they are implying on clan mech but OH... can't tough those, they are fine...

It's like racing.. the Honda's are not winning with thier cars so Ford has to put in smaller motors and only use 3 wheels... ******* stupid.

Bad grammar aside (no space after the word "Adder"), where exactly did this new Clan come from? The Blood Asp was designed and built by Clan Star Adder as an insult to their enemy Clan Blood Spirit. We already know that PGI has no idea what Lore is and cannot figure out how to use a spell-checker, but even so, well...yeah, I guess I should not be surprised after all. Never mind.

Not a fan on some of these changes but some bad news - I'm not seeing any evidence that the nerfs lead to more focus fire - the more you play in groups the more you focus fire generally. The only reason nerfs to energy would lead to less solo showboating is if PGI are right and they are overpowered. Poor argument I'd suggest. ;)

Once again a patch with nerfs that only hit one side and hit them hard, with no attempts at concessions made. Well, at least I'll find better use for the money I could've spent.

What exactly is the logic that an Ice Ferret now has to stare at an opponent for half a second longer in order to deal 42 damage with 6x ERMLs? Why exactly is clan limited to 48 damage alpha strikes with laser vomit, while IS can pump out 55 damage with either 5x ERML + 3x LPL, or 57 damage with 3x LL + 6x ERML?

Inner Sphere lasers already dominated clan ones in the DPS department, clan lasers being humongously front loaded to try and get through the armor and structure quirked IS mechs, and now the clan lasers only advantage is being taken away?

RIP my laser boats. Well, PGI can remove the HLL, HML from the game. It has no use at all after this nerf.

No, really, u can say anything about how game MAU stable and increased but its are totally ******** if u do idiotically thing in this patch. Increase match wait in solaris? Nerf lasers for clantech? What next, release energy draw and replace bullets in ballons for clantech ballistic?

Yeah. They are unable to balance things so they keep nerfing stuff in cricle....wait for it. Soon old OP stuff will be again OP because everything will be nerf to the ground. This is not balance, this is piece of crap..

PGI, no. As an IS player, you cannot nerf clan ghost heat that hard. It's going to ruin everything. Already it's going to cause massive waves in MRBC which is late-season now.

I recommend taking a look at the Community Balance Sheet from a while back.

RAC/2 buff is great tho.

When was the last time a patch got 7 pages in less than 7 hours with 90% of the posts complaining about the nerf, and not in a partisan way?

My prediction:

They will dial back the Clan ERML/MPL nerf to 5 (from 4) or make another minor change that makes it seem as if they are listening to complaints.

It will still be worse than before, but everyone will praise them for listening to the community.

I hate being on the receiving end of heavy laser drills as much as the next person, but nerfing medium pulse in the same way seems kind of unnecessary, especially since the IS equivalent doesn't have such stringent limitations as well. And this is coming from a mostly IS pilot.

Really looking forward to the new map, though. I've wanted an entirely urban map for a long time; my favorite zones to fight over are the city areas of maps like River City, Frozen City, and Crimson Strait. Armor changes are interesting; we'll have to see how it plays out.

Also excited to have 40% Posted Image crit chance reduction on the Kraken. Posted Image

And that ******** with 30dmg cap for Ghostheat, IS can fire 2LL + 6ML in a Blackknight (no ghost). The range of the IS LL is 100m less, but IS has QUIRKS as hell... And I could keep on going about IS builds that boat LASER vomits as hell with low heat, fast recycle and great range.... PGI, you MESSED IT UP, sorry.

OH BTW, stuck your BOLT ONs where the SUN DOES NOT SHINE! That does not help with gameplay and GAMEPLAY issues are what drives people away from this game

PGI wants to balance the game, i understand that. Why don´t you just nerf the damage per weapon like usual? That´s the point that i don´t get. If you want IS and Clan damage to be equal, well ... damage.
Instead of going the easy way for the players, i now have to check !!!100!!! Clan Mechs for their loadout and/or weapon groups. Really? Like i have nothing better to do?
I invest real time and invested real money in this game. If it comes to the real money, games over for you PGI. Spend at least 1.000$ for MWO, cause i liked it. Would have spend even more. But it becomes more and more clear that PGI doesn´t care about the big players. You didn´t think one second about the consequences for the players with more than 5 mechs in the hangar, did you? And this is not the first time.

3D modelers and gameplay programmers are not the same people. They hired two new employees whose full-time jobs is just making bolt-ons. Your sentiment here is like getting mad at NASA for using scientists to make Mars probes instead of doing cancer research. Rocket scientists don't know anything about cancer research.

And with regard to MAU, I don't see **** happening. Been stuck at the searching screen for 20 minutes now (FP)... So this is supposed to be a massive multiplayer game?
Oh, Solaris queues not looking much better.

Russ is not perhaps a long lost brother of Donald Trump or something?

Gosh, what I was trying to say, is that they invest time and money at the wrong end of the game (or the wrong people)! And PGI are butchers trying to bake bread :P

FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION, as we say in the computer science industry. Instead of making things shiney, they have to work first!
