MAD-IICs are going to pack five cERML and eat the ghost heat from that.

I built a 9 ER Large Laser Dire Wolf in anticipation for the patch.

Can't wait to melt my internals from alpha striking. No really. It'll be a good time.

ERLLs aren't getting GH nerfed, though.

I've tried 4 ERLL 4 ERML MAD IIC and it's pretty solid. I enjoy additional extreme range firepower.

Why are you doing this PGI?

Why do you frustrate your players so often and hard? This will change or destroy a lot of my over 120 clan mechs! This xxxx hard! And no, i am not a clan laser vomit noob... i have a bride variety of mech loadouts and as many IS as clan mechs... i put many hours in my builds and its just really really no fun to see them get destroyed.... i can succeed with is and clan mechs, with all kinds of weapons and from lights to assautls... this "balance" is complete needless and does more bad than good to your playerbase....

Funny enough, that pretty much what everyone used when clans came out!


Cyclical nerfs crack me up. Buff this then nerf it then buff it then nerf it then buff it again then nerf something else which indirectly buffs they thing you nerfed!


Im so glad PGI knows what they are doing!

I still think Deathstrike should be nerfed. I played the mech for a long time and I find it's meta config to be very strong.

I can see some people (those who've been celebrating the nerfs) overdose on sodium chloride *if* PGI does indeed go back on them.

Which config is that - 2xGauss+6xERML? Then it is getting double-nerfed in this patch Posted Image And yeah, I know, there's also 2xGauss+2xERLL+4xERML which will only be affected by the nerf to the chassis itself, but it's probably too hot for most people.

On a side note, 75 degree yaw angle shouldn't be THAT bad. Marauder IIC is saddled with 70 degrees, and it remains playable, you just have to pay extra attention when corner peeking. 60 degrees like KDK-3 would really cripple the mech, but fortunately PGI haven't gone that far.

The one with 2xGauss+2xERLL+4xERML. It is not very hot. You can do two alphas back to back, almost three with Cool Shot, and thanks to spamming Clan DHS, you can cool off pretty fast in general.

I'm so glad that the developers have the sense to ignore the masses of stupid crybabies who are upset at losing overpowered advantages.

I think I'll buy a mech pack to show my appreciation.

theyre not upset because clans are losing their overpowered advantage. theyre upset because IS is gaining an overpowered advantage over clans.

clan lasers are getting nerfed so badly that theyre now inferior to IS lasers in almost every conceivable way.

clan laser vomit needed to be EQUAL to IS laser vomit. Not strictly worse. With lower alpha, longer beam duration, and longer cooldown. And clans dont even get their supposed range advantage because of IS range quirks.

The only way this nerf even begins to make sense is if IS mechs start losing laser quirks.

those advantages are largely non-existent when you take IS quirks into consideration though. and the compactness of the CHLL is completely pointless now that you can only fire 1 of them at a time.

the only real advantage clan lasers ever really had over IS lasers was the ability to do larger alphas. And now that advantage is gone.

post-patch clan laser vomit will be strictly worse than IS laser vomit; unless IS loses enough of their laser quirks to tilt things back the other way.
