This change is horrendous. No more 4x HML or 5x cERML Mist Lynx.
Reducing the max grouping without a decrease to duration is especially egregious; now IS damage/tick is going to be considerably higher.
And the irony is that the biggest offenders, the Gauss Vomit 'Mechs, come away scott-free from a weapons standpoint. So what does PGI do? Goes full-on KDK-3 all over the MCII.
F*ck.

Hell, even my 2xC-Gauss 6xERML Deathstrike is no longer usable as is. I really didn't care for the 2xERLL 4xERML setup (too hot), but now its kind of the only option......

I will use single HLL with other lasers on my lighter mechs since they do not have much tonnage. As for MW5, that's a different ball game.

If giga vomit hellbringers and hunchies are the problem adjust those mechs, or at the very least quirk up the GH limit on mechs with only a handful of hardpoints and even worse podspace.
(also, can we call this "thermal runaway" instead? That makes a lot more sense than "ghost heat.")
