I can; it's surprisingly few.

We've had two changes to Clan MGs, reducing crit rate and increasing spread, affecting the Mist Lynx and Arctic Cheetah. We've also had the release of the Piranha, which will eat into the efficacy of both.

We had a nerf to the heat-gen quirks on the Wolfhound 2, which has done nothing to upset its dominance in its role (and TBQH, other Lights should instead be made similarly useful).

We had a nerf to the agility on the Supernova 1, which is already seeing a comeback because the weaknesses of the gauss charge on the MCII cause it to eat more damage in trades if not played absolutely correctly...and because it spreads damage better.

Clan heat-gen nodes got nerfed, only modestly affecting performance (and I'm being generous...I don't think it really changed much for anything other than 'Mechs that already didn't matter).

cERPPC cooldown got nerfed; will still probably see SMN poptarts, they just won't be as good at clutching a match.

cMPL range got nerfed; hurts this weapon quite a bit, may not see cMPL boats do well, if at all, this time around.

Most of the maps got colder recently, making lasers even better across more environments.

Edit: And the coolshot nerfs...which haven't actually done anything as far as which builds are strong.

The humanity! How terrible! What would we do if most the mechs in MWOWC were IS mechs? I mean if the Clans are not most of the top performers, what do we so? Uninstall? Riot? Does the global economy crash? Human sacrifice?

I'm going to go with waving my hands in the air, crying and running in circles.

Then I'm going to put 6xsrm6 on my LBK and smash fools.

We have hit a point where Clans are not inherently superior and a lot of people just don't know how to cope. Its cracking me up.

No, because IS are going to get another giganerf before the client is locked-in for the tournament.

Too bad not a single of of those thing does dmg to mechs. The size of my weapon cannot kill you, My mech being a bit faster does not blow off you ST, MY TC cannot headshot you on its own...


You dont understand the issue which is why you dont see it as a problem. Take a few mins and try to understand the game and things will get clearer for you young jedi.

Was prolly a panicked fix aimed to not shock away the influx of new ppl that were attracked via Battletech and Solaris, running straight at you in Jenners and such, getting annihilated with one alpha.

Its for the new players.

I thought you guys and girls said:

Accomodate the new players. Make mwo more accessible.

Well, thats what theyre trying to do.

Increasing TTK at the same time. Thats what you ppl have been demanding hysterically too like every day. Increase TTK.

This is increasing TTK.

So, wheres the problem?

Removing guns doesn't make MWO accessible. Increasing TTK does not, inherently, make MWO accessible.

Helping players to understand how MWO is played makes the game accessible. Like, the guided portion of MWO Academy should be mandatory and it should include sections on things like ghost-heat, torso twisting, and minimum range.

Yup, Doesnt matter what you do with weapons the skill gap remains if you never teach people how to use them and then change mechanics often it gets even harder.

The only other option is giving anyone with less them 250 games a +500 armor CT perk.

The Skill Tree also doesn't help with accessibility. As long as going in with a vanilla 'Mech remains such a large disadvantage compared to playing a Mastered one, this will be a persistent problem. Skills should skew 'Mechs to specialties at the expense of their baseline performance, not build specialties on top of it.

Don't know what to tell you, then. I can fire any otherwise ghosting combo after half a second to avoid the ghost, even if the other laser is still going. That's the reason any ERLL boat works as well as it does, it's how the ERSL Nova works as well as it does, it's how my BJ-1X works as well as it does.

Well, it also doesn't work with ballistics, and that has been mentioned by numerous forum posts.

None of the ballistics have a duration longer than 0.33 seconds, so that one makes sense.
