[Serpentine Shel Serpentine]

Hello: I own two mechs that are identical except one is fully skilled and the other has no skills because I never used it. Please don't judge me for ending up with this I am not sure how it happened. My problem is I need to sell the mech with no skills but the inventory screen does not allow you to distinguish between two instances of the same mech variant. How can I be sure that I am selling the one that is unskilled? Thanks for any suggestions.

Take out the engine of the one you want to sell, then the variant that has a lower sell price (when the "sell equipped items" checkbox is selected) is the one you want to sell.

I think renaming the chassis you want to sell will also work. Click on the yellow pencil next to what it's called to do so.

Definitely rename them. I would also say do not sell it. It will allow you to run different builds without needing to switch out equipment. This is important if you were to ever play Faction Play where you need a drop deck of 4 mechs within a certain tonnage limit.

Example I have at least 3 of the Shadow Hawk 2k (energy variant) each configured with ERLL, LL or LPL. Each serves its own purpose without needing to reconfigure it each time.

If you are looking to freeing up mechbays, purchase some MC when it is on sale (like now) and save when Mechbays go on sale for 1/2 price.

+1 for renaming first. When I'm planning to sell a 'Mech, I name it "Sell Me" with a number in front so that I can't mistake it for something else I want to keep. It's a good safeguard against misclicks because it separates the 'Mech to be sold from all others of the same chassis and places it at the top of the inventory list.

Thanks for these suggestions also ... maybe I won't sell it after all and just try a real different build. But its good to know how to sell it if I want.
