The clan laser nerds seem to have been quelled for the moment. But where did they come from and why? What do they want?
Is TTK too low? Too high? Just right?

The nerfs were removed. Crying works.

Everybody spelling "nerfs" as "nerds" (started on Russ' twitter) is seriously triggering me.
As for TTK, my opinion is that some specific guns/combinations do in fact kill things too quickly, while some other things are about right and some things are too weak.
Massed laser vomit, IMO, is a part of that category of killing things too quickly and I say this as somebody who uses lasers as a go-to primary loadout on nearly everything (otherwise I use CERPPCs). I'm not saying the Ghost Heat cap reductions were necessarily the best nerf choice, but some sort of nerf is justified.

My feeling clan lasers are showing up on the spread sheet with more kills in pug q.
After they slowed down all the mechs i bet this was an issue. For example twisting with an atlas to block is much harder than it used to be.
Maybe is time to buff torso speeds again.

My strong guess is that it comes from Solaris. A self contained 1 vs 1 match environment allows for builds that work exceptionally well, that wouldn't work at all in the 12 vs 12 QP or even FP. I think PGI is seeing how 1 vs 1 skews the power curve when it comes to hard hitting alpha strikes and they are now trying to balance their pride and joy Solaris 7 game mode without any regards to QP or FP balance at all.

Uh, bruh, midrange laser vomit tends to get rekt in small 1v1 arena battles. It's large team vs. team fights where laser vomit like ERML + HLL spam shines.

They very clearly spelled out why they were making the change. People need to stop being childish just because their favorite crutch is being removed.

TT buffs only for the Atlas, as that mech generally needs to get close to use its firepower. I prefer most Assaults to be sluggish gun turrets, rather than the ballerinas they were before the engine desync--mechs like Gargles and Exe excluded.
