I've only looked at 3 so far.

Stock OmniPod BAS-Prime
2 Gauss, 6 HML, 6 tons ammo, 3 DHS, TC Mk II
Just to derp around with, I doubt it will do very well, but I'm surprised you can *just* Alpha Strike on Caustic with no Skill Points invested

Stock OmniPod BAS-A
4 LPL, ECM, 10 DHS
Hopefully a jumpy, slightly-nimbler, slightly-hotter Warhawk

Not-a-Deathstrike BAS-A with BAS-Prime LA, RA, LT, RT
2 Gauss, 6 ERML, 5 tons of ammo, ECM, 3 DHS
Simple, boring, but no doubt effective.

I'm certain to have something with 2 UAC10 & 2 LPL eventually, maybe the BAS-C...

I've run a total of 2 of these, about to run the third... All use the -B CT, and -PRIME torsos and arms.

2x Gauss w/6.5t ammo, 6x ERML, LAMS, 2x DHS, ECM.
2x Gauss w/6.5t ammo, 6x SPL, LAMS, 2x DHS, ECM.
2x Gauss w/6.5t ammo, 6x HML, LAMS, 2x DHS, ECM. (giving it a try, expect it to run too hot)

Will be looking into other ballistics builds that would allow me to have 6x MPL instead.

[off topic] Did you notice the warning for using more than 4 micro/small/medium lasers? I did...

So far, completely inferior to the MCII in every way except that it can carry ECM.

Sounds like a pass to me. Once I get the Virago, I will own 2 ECM Hellbringers, a pair of ECM Kit Foxes, and an ECM Blood Kit. If PGI ever offers ECM omnipods for the Sun Spider that will be in the mix as well.

Been running 2xGauss and 6xERML on the ecm capable chassis. I really want to like this mech but it doesn't bring anything special to the table except for ecm. Outside of that there are other clan mechs that I feel can do the same loadouts better.

Its been there since they introduced heavy lasers, so yes I noticed it more than a month ago ;)

Also how much room is available in the C variants left ballistic arm? I soo hope its 9, since its not on smurfys yet...

How would you put ECM on a blood kit, though?

7 on the left arm w/o the LAA
9 on the right arm w/o the LAA
9 in the STs (8 for the BAS-A)
2 in the CT (1 for the BAS-A)

For the Prime (stock pods) I kept the two Gauss, replaced the lasers with 6 ERMLs, added AMS and extra Gauss ammo, and I think a couple heatsinks and wracked up a 912 damage, 5 kill/KMDD first match and that was without a consumable because I forgot to equip a cool shot. I figure when it's skilled up it'll perform nicely.

I really like the look of the mech with the Cobra skin, and the size of the shoulder mounts are good now in terms of height but I'd like their length extended so I can see them in the top left and right corners of my cockpit screen, but that's a minor quibble. I think the mech is pretty good so far in the few matches I've run it. I'll start swapping out the Dual Gauss for other heavy ballistics and see where it goes in terms of performance and feel, but it's a nice Dual Gauss platform.

Pretty sure in the head if memory serves me.

I think you mean Arctic Wolf omnimech. The Blood Kit is the Arctic Wolf hero (which is a battlemech that doesn't have ECM).

It may even be the. Cougar Hero. I will look at my Invasion Drop Deck 2 tomarow. I have bought so many Hero Omnimechs/Mechs that I forget who does what.

I looked at Smurphy's. It is impossible to mount ECM on an Arctic Wolf but is possible on a Cougar due to the latter being an Omnimech.

Yeah, I think you're thinking of the Blood Adder.

I will definitely agree with that. It feels very weak defensively as well Even with max armor, everything gets shot off. They need to tune it better so it can be viable at least.

It's because they made it have the hitboxes of unoptimised 100t mechs, and the armor and maneuverability of an unquirked 90t. It's basically an easier to hit MCII that PGI thought the ECM on 2 variants would make up for.

The BAS-B feels decent. Hitboxes are mediocre and ST Gauss makes it squishy, but ECM has been worthwhile for me. It's definitely weaker than the Deathstrike, but 2 Gauss 6 ERML is a potent payload nonetheless. Issue is, you do kinda rely on the enemies tendency to not shoot anything that doesn't have a red dorito...

The BAS-A I turned into a quad PPC sniper. ECM and JJ helps and not being a knuckle dragger is good, too - got the PPCs all in the same torso, though. Makes it a huge liability. Can't say how it compares to the WHK without mastering it, but it seemed okay overall.

The BAS-Prime... Well, no ECM so why not use the MCII instead? I currently run 2x LB20 and some lasers on mine. Shoulder mounts poking up above cover doesn't matter if you're right in someone's face, I guess... Had a few good games with it and I might try the AC50 build once the reinforcement Omnipods are out for C-Bills.

Overall, it's a one trick pony, I feel, that one trick being ECM.

BAS-PRIME: 2xGauss and 6xHML All together that's a hefty 90 dmg to a component of your choosing. The idea is to use the gauss to close the distance to around 300m when you can use the heavy lasers (left and right-fist weapon groups to avoid ghost heat).

for the BAS-RA: 4xATM12 and 2xERML Chain fire the ATMs and use the medium lasers to help carve out some finisher damage. the ATMs are hot so I'm also trying 2xATM12 and 2xATM9 for more heat sinks and ammo.
