Thread title.
I know they're not particularly meta, but they just got tweaked and I've always had a bit of a soft spot for them. Thinking the 3F or 3Fb.

The STK-3FB may not be meta, but it's still not a bad choice on large maps like Alpine or Polar, if you use it in an ER Laser configuration. It provides ECM, which is pretty useful on those maps to counter all the sky cancer out there.

edit - I'd probably build it like this: https://mwo.smurfy-n...583d689adfbe002

I use 6xLL on the 3FB, with 300 LFE and 20 DHS, for mid range pokes. PGI foolishly nerfed all the good quirks Stalkers had, so they have been fallen out of favor for a while now.

I like mine (3fb) with 2 MRM30s, 4ml/ERml, and 2 mpl with an LFE300. Real easy to sandblast away the enemy armor and focus exposed components, and 60 missile (with high explosive nodes unlocked) can really ruin somebody's day

That's a terrible idea. If you -really- must do a dual gauss stealth sniper, do a Thanatos.

Thanny is far more mobile compared to Fatnir thanks to JJs, better speed and hill climb rate, and smaller in size--which means less noticeable. Having just 2x Gauss on the Fatnir is waste of 100 ton mech, and other back-up weapons kinda give away your position.

I do wanna try the stealth thanatos sniper someday though... here's the build I'd use for it... https://mwo.smurfy-n...a9b7aec330186f6

Just brought the 3FB when it was on sale. Even without quirks it can do some serious work. I use the exactly same build, great build, can't wait until I have it skilled up.

Alright, the 3Fb seems like to way to go. Having 2 build options for it sounds cool to, especially since one of them is MRMs, and I don't get to use a lot of MRMs.

I'll have to try this sometime as well.

Just did 2200 damage in a Misery, 6 kills 11KMDD. It was in FP though, so it doesn't count.

The 4N is still good in my opinion.

https://mwo.smurfy-n...c73d98f0e9a44eb (tweak the armor, I haven't updated it)

The other variants are trash. Well, the Misery is ok I guess, but it's behind a paywall, and the Deathstrike is about a million times better, so don't bother.

The STK-5S is second only to the BLR-1G as an ERLL boat.

If you know how to BLR, then you know how to STK.

It’s quite simple.

Use your brain and be smart enough to equip your mech with secondary weapons that you’ll need to defend yourself for hanging far back behind the pack and getting jumped by Lights...

I run my stalker a little differently to you guys.
STK-3FB-GHOSTBUSTER
Stagger the ERLL to poke.
ERML for backup/in a pinch.
ROCKET-LAWN-CHAIRS for when you catch the enemy off guard

I'm still running this.

I just find the one with the 20 quirks and go tri-bomber.
