Not to be ungrateful (always grateful for c-bill mech sales) but there's a lot of these chassis seem to go on sale often, while certain others (cough cough IS Orion cough) haven't seen a sale in what seems like years.

Anyways thanks as always PGI for another C-bill mech sale!

I'd still love to see some Kintaro, Orion, Highlanders (one for sale at last!), Awesome, Quickdraw, Commandos, etc. Essentially those which haven't been on sale for a long long time. Please Matt, please? Please?

Eh... people? We could really use a "Double (C-Bills) Event" more than a "Double XP Event"... Perhaps they could do a "Double XP & (C-Bills) Combined Event"??? I'm hurting a lot more here for (C-Bills) than I am for XP, and a Sale just rubs that in my face after taking part in multiple previous/recent Sales.

Hi there, Matt! If you're open to it, I've got a possible idea for you. Any Chassis/Variants that would be vulnerable to a Sell-Back Exploit should get a lesser percentage off during a Sale. Like, if 40% or more would result in such an exploit, then sell it at 30%/35% Off. Sure, it would result in a little more footwork needing being done before the Sale is active, and maybe a question or two to answer from the Community, but it would at least stop a Sell-Back Exploit from happening.

Just for the note of it, I hate, avoid, and don't use exploits like that. (You can verify that from my Account History, I think?) These exploits already caused some Sale Items to be ripped out from under me when I might have wanted to grab one, and that's made me rather upset. But that anger is directed at the Community, not at you and the other Devs, because that's some rather shameful behavior on the part of MWO's Community. I'll be glad to help with being part of the solution that stops that behavior, however. That way, everyone can enjoy 50% Off Sales when you're able to pitch them up, as I particularly look forward to the '50% Off Hero Mech Sales' (Best bang [pun intended] for the buck, never discontinue them!) when they're happening.



Oh, by the way, I was looking at the Website News Post version of the Announcement. Is there any chance you could add a "min-width: 100%" to the "style" attribute of the "table" element that contains the List Of Sales? Without it, I'm seeing that Table Element squashed all to one side, and it makes that information extremely hard to read. I had to use my FireFox Browser's Element Inspector to make it easier to read.

Ugh yeah, tables are a pain in the @55 for our News and Forums.
It's a Copy Paste from the Sales Tool and I go through several steps to attempt to remove hidden formatting but windows just love to keep it regardless of how many times I try to strip it out.

I'm going to assume the sell back exploits that happened were for the 50% off cbill mechs that sold back for more cbills than they were bought for. It's a shame that there may not be anymore 50% cbill mechs sales anymore.

Agreed... I would be thankful to get a bunch more (C-Bill) Rewards too. (Can you say "Millions, please"?) Next Event to come along, it would be good to have a plethora of Challenges (Like, a list of 20 or so... heh heh...) that all run at the same time for around 7 days or so. To give Matt Newman some ideas, they could use "Savior Kill"/"Flanking"/"Component Destroyed" for Metrics. Then for Rewards, he could also stuff in some 'War Horns'/(MC)/'Hanging Cockpit Items'/'General XP', which would definitely get everyone's attention.

You could solve the issue by limit the amount of mechs you can buy at a discount(like coupons). That way people could buy 2-3 variants they really want at 50% off(or make some cBills by reselling). Of course I don't know if this is possible in your implementation of the store.
