Heh... Wow... I got badly-delayed from watching this thread, and now there's soooooooo much to talk about! <*Dives In*>

Hi there. Yeah, that's the HotFix Patch File alright. For everyone's reference...
- Version --- 1.4.171.0 (And PGI Fixed the Version Number this time!)
- Patch Download File Size --- ~54 KB
...and
Thank You for getting out ahead of even me and finding that first!
I really wish PGI would stop falling down on the job, being as there are ISPs who screw with anything not done in a Web Browser.

The spider has strands deep into the code... be careful all!!
*puts on tinfoil hat*
I like the humor, but this isn't quite so 'Conspiracy-Loaded'... This time around, the Spider was getting around and wreaking havoc.

This cannot be labled as hotfix because by definition a "Hot Fix" is an update while the servers are LIVE, the fact that there is a downtime means the server is not LIVE or "HOT"
So every hotfix so far was a little patch. Well.....fine....I guess?
Compared to the Monthly Update Patch, this indeed is
MERELY a HotFix. (
It's the Second HotFix for This Month, by the way!) Sure, the servers had to be brought down briefly, but that's due to the nature of the CryTek Client & Server code. They literally are not designed with the ability to remain running when the executables need a Code-Altering Update. Of course, I don't really think
ANYTHING is?

I think i spider! (german in-joke)
I can not speak/read German, but I get your joke in the English anyway. But then it makes me jokingly ask...
WHAT GOOD-LOOKING WOMAN ARE YOU SPYING ON, YOU TWISTED PERSON?!?!?!?
...because somebody had to ask that.

I wonder how the Spider is causing so much trouble.
My money´s on the guy who repeatedly slapped warhorns unto the Stalkers bay door indicators for ~8 months :E
Eh... What's this? What ancient Bug are we referencing here that I am sadly unaware of? I am now curious!

it probably points at a deeper issues on the first spawn. I have noticed a tendency to almost fall through some maps right after spawn. By almost, I mean it almost like a yoyo affect where you fall through, get caught, fall through, etc...
Sounds like your computer is underpowered... Like,
SEVERELY UNDERPOWERED... I remember seeing that kind of 'Yo-Yo Effect' on an old game that ran on the first versions of the Unreal Engine, and the system that was on at the time was also underpowered. It took one hell of an upgrade before that stabilized, but I hope your computer won't need too much of an upgrade to play MWO properly.

sounds like a challenge to see how many spiders we can get on the field at once ...
Only if
Matt Newman and/or
Tina Benoit (
and/or any other PGI Staff capable of doing this) decide to launch a 35% Off (
or 40% Off, which I would be even more thankful for) Sale on the Spider Mech Chassis,
AND put an Event alongside it. But hey, I bet they wouldn't take up
THAT dare, even though they have a perfect opening for it... *hint 'n' tease* ...They could call it the "Really Wacky Bugs Challenge & Sales", and add other Bug-Named Chassis to the Challenge as well, including Sales for each of those...
