I just don't see it? Why give a mech only 250 rounds of ammo for each mg? I think it's sad most folks only talk about it's hardpoints which tells me the variants are not worth getting only the chassis.

It was in GBL. The expansion packs are really not all that well known in MW history, to be honest.
GBL, Pirate's Moon or Black Knight, most people only ever played the base games.

The Mech appeared in Mechwarrior 2 Ghost Bear's Legacy, but was removed in Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries along with the rest of the IIC mechs due to the unseen problem back then (with exception to the Jenner IIC).

Really and thats why PGI let everyone. cry them out of the last clan laser nerf. Let me give you a example since clan and IS is suppose too be balanced. Clan er small laser damage 5 and the IS er small laser damage 3.25. Sad when large pulse lasers are cooling faster then meds

It is basically an eye candy.

Is it an irony to the fact that none of the variants are ecm capable?

PGI, you really suck at choosing which mech to go for next.
I am greatly disappointed.

you forgot to mention the rest of the stats like heat, cooldown and duration for clan and IS ER small lasers - or did you leave those out on purpose?

I am not going to waste my time calculating all the damage for every weapon, but if you were to, you would find that the IS weapons are overwhelmingly more efficient in almost every way aside from one or two weapons. I play both Clan and IS and IS Mechs run cooler and can absorb far more damage than Clan Mechs.

Other than sentimental mechs, there's still many mechs I want: dakka clan humanoid heavy, an IS humanoid light with JJ and 8E that can pitch, an IS medium humanoid with 8E, a clan 55/60ton humanoid with 1B and 4M that goes 81 w/JJ, a clan assault humanoid ballistic mech, etc etc... I'm happy with the flea but the rest in that list don't do anything better than existing mechs in any role, general or niche, so I'm sitting on the sidelines until then.
