Decided to get on conquest mode yesterday with 2 buds and it was just dead, could not find any matches at all. Is this game mode dead?

Any mode other than deathmatch like modes are rare. The masses don't vote for them so they don't get played much. It's not dead, you will get a few people popping in to say, "I just played conquest just a few minutes ago". So not dead, but it might as well be.

Just lost a game of Conquest on River City. From what I see Skirmish and or Domination are the majority of the game modes played.

Just wish they were played on Solaris City. Just say'n!!!!

I know I am not alone in saying this....Skirmish is a horrible game mode and hoeslty should just be removed...

How do you "decide" to get on Conquest mode? If the mode comes up, you vote for it. That's all you can do.

Some days I hate Skirmish. Unless I just lost playing Assault because a Locust capped our base.

Exactly it. I used to love to play my Spiders on Conquest. I can grind my Spider to death now and game the multiplier hoping I don't accidentally lose it in voting for Escort to try and get a match on Conquest with it and in the meanwhile play a dozen other matches that the Spider just isn't suited to.

It's not dead but since most folks play to shoot things and Conquest interferes with that dynamic a bit, most folks will vote for something else. Or use it to farm votes, I suppose, or avoid Escort, lol. Skirmish is shooting, Assault is shooting but if a Light wants to settle for a minimal Match Score they have a way of ending the match early and making people angry, Domination is shooting in a circle, Escort is shooting with a time limit, Incursion is shooting with an extra ending that no one asked for, and Conquest is shooting while walking (heavy on the sarcasm here). Payouts don't exactly encourage non-shooting behavior anyway, so it makes a little sense.

But no, I wouldn't say it's dead as much as unwanted for a lot of players.

OP clearly was talking about faption warfare (thee old community warfart), but just didnt know what to call it.

I am guessing OP is talking about scouting in FW..as that is the only thing that makes sense. It can be hit or miss sometimes, but it normally has games running.

Invasion queue has been fine in the major timezones...unless it’s actually too full and they are getting queue jumped by 12 mans.....that happens to small groups

I am thinking you are talking about scouting.

Yes it is pretty dead for the most part.

It seems at times some smaller units will use it to get combat ID or something, but the mode is meaningless.

This mode is massively played usually during FP events from what I can tell. Easiest and fastest way to grind scores/kills/whatever else needed for the event. Other than that, not sure. Queued few times, waited forever, quit. We've got Solaris for brawling fix now anyway, so I don't see the point really...

I see it about 1/5 ratio on average. But that's just my personal experience. I general I like it.

My favorite is domination. . . everyone just comes to me I don't have to chase them down hahaha!

i hope its dead i hate conquest, it should be removed from the game. Either one team is going to group up to kill the other team that bothers doing the objective or once in a blue moon both teams go for caps. awful mode
