Hi. I am not exactly a new Player, but I have been off the Game for quite a while . The upcoming change to SHS suddenly made me realize, I am actually not sure about the current HeatValues for SHS and DHS . Can someone please enlighten me ?

Thanks .

No, the values have changed since that.

I think double heat sinks are 1.3 or 1.4. Clan was slightly different.
Sadly, not included on Smurfy, but you might find other valuable things there.

Heat sinks have different values across the two tech lines and based on the ones included in the engine (non-removable, not the extra slots for going over 250). They also have cooling vs cap. So we are looking at something like 2 variables on 4 types before the skill tree or quirks get involved.

Actually, it's right there on smurfy. You have to scroll way down to 'Modules and Equipment'.

Odd, when I checked the stats column wasn't there and it was description instead which listed the tooltip. Oh I see, I was reading under upgrades.

Numbers are heat dissipation, value if engine heat sink (built-in only), heat threshold increase. I don't think I can adequately explain the math though.
singles 0.12 0.12 1.2
double 0.15 0.20 1.5
clan 0.15 0.20 1.5

Outta date by slightly over a year.

If the Clan heatsinks were at those values, laser vomit would be a bit less prevalent.

-------------------
Its 0.15 cooling and 1.5 for manually added DHS on both sides.
0.2 and 2 for those that CAME with the engine. (Not engine slots.. For example 250 and up, have 10. 225 have 9. 200 have 8. 175 has 7. 150 has 6. etc.)

The math (formula) never changed from day one.

Threshold:
30 base + heatsinks with engine(2) + heatsinks manually added(1.5) = Threshold.

Example: 15 heatsinks and a 300+ engine, so 10 came with the engine and we manually added 5 (including 2 into the engine slots, but since they are manually added it doesn't count as with the engine).
30 base + 10(2) + 5(1.5) = Threshold.
30 base + 20 + 7.5 = 57.5 threshold.

Now if you unlock "Heat Containment" skills in the Operations, you add that percentage to the above number. Combine all accrued percentages before applying it.

Cooling:
heatsinks with engine(2) + heatsinks manually added(1.5) /10 seconds = Cooling/second.
(Or drop the /10 by using them as decimals .2 and .15)

"Cool Run" percentages can enhance the cooling speed, also found under Operations.

Clan heatsinks have less hitpoints vs IS. In case of crit clans lose HS faster.
