Did Bobby ever mentioned that it's kinda lighter and has unlimited ammo?

I was thinking about this and maybe what would make PPCs great again is if they were mostly much higher velocity. HPPC seems okay with it's limited range but the 'base' IS PPC should be at least 2k m/s, faster for ER ones, and even faster for the light ones!

Then we could do away with PPC velocity quirks and get some PPC heat quirks on mechs that specialise in them by lore.

Because frankly as they are now PPCs are pretty much 'meh' and only get used on very few builds whereas in the TT game they were a weapon to be reckoned with!

Wish the PPC family was useful in more than like 4-5 mechs.
The only ones that can run them without serious heat issues are the Awesome, Warhawk, Summoner...and a couple more Clan assaults that can run trip uac5, dual peep.

PPC gauss will come back a little if/when they add screen shake to the cGauss rifle as it'll prevent you from accidentally ghost heating.

But generally speaking the PPC family is pretty useless in most builds...they are simply way too hot.

Might as well take the much heavier dual ac10s w/ammo with 2.5sec cooldown, decent range, velocity, and you never have to stop shooting.
