It has come to my hamster attention span that the forums are full of PGI blame, negativity and stress. So, let's turn around, and say no to these Drama Llamas and sing merry songs!
What would you like to thank PGI for?
Thanks PGI for Solaris City, where LRM boats are made near useless! Hip Hip! HOORAY!

Examples:
- The existence of the game (though the founders must be given some props here as well).
- Most of the mech models are excellent mechporn by themselves and most are a great transition and respectful acknowledgement of past representations while being engagingly unique.
- Um... that’s all Ican really think of...well, personally I’m thankful that they haven’t nerfed the Quickdraws (again) this year (yet). And I am still thankful that they gave the Victor its armor quirks way back at the end of 2017, that brought them back from near extinction. Much appreciated. Oh and I am thankful that Chris didn’t nerf the Timberwolf any more than it was despite his claims of it being so superior. And along those lines I am thankful that Paul backed off some of the more extreme energy nerfs that had been proposed of late (but I suppose I should thank community outrage for that rather than PGI really).
OH!! Almost forgot: I’m thankful for all the free mechs both this year and last. They were all very nice to recieve.
What else...oh yeah, I am thankful that Russ finally acknowledged the competitive power and might of the Beer Leagues. We may be drunk and we may not be good, but its nice to see that our vast dominance of the game has apparently given rise to the mistaken belief by PGI that we are competitive.

What a dirtbag anti LRM post. Back under your rock hater.
(Because you are NOT praising PGI at all with this. You are advocating making a weapon being marginalized.)

- The core gameplay is just right for me. The right pacing. The right balance between arcade and sim-elements mixed with still pleasing effects when destroying limbs and mechs. It just makes fun regardless of which mechs and weapons are the current FOTM or how potato some teams are.
- PGI managed to give most weapons their own unique feel. I often switch mechs/builds just because SRMs, Lasers, ACs, RACs, LRMs, MGs, Flamers, Gauss or MRMs all behave different and require different approaches. There is room for improvement of cause, but overall i like the variety. I don't care if for instance that missiles of all kind are not the meta sh*t, what matters for me is that they are fun and are still powerful enough when used well.
- The extensive mechlab and the various builds it allows. I'm spending as much time tinkering about builds as i'm playing them. And yes, i even like the skilltree a lot although i agree that it may not be the best possible or user-friendly implementation. And the save/load feature was the missing piece to support my tinkering, it greatly increased my motivation to switch builds. Together with PGI ditching XP cost for reactivating nodes i don't have much left to wish here.
- Really fair F2P model. There are not many F2P games out there (especially niche ones with limited audience) where you can obtain and max out your favorite character right from the start within a few days of playing (i'm looking at you, WoT and your endless grind to T10).

As well as for making mechlab the closest to the TT rules. It honestly makes the game. Not many games would do that in general. Instead relying on a generic upgrade systems.
For trying to listen to a rather rabid and confrontational playerbase.

there, I said it, there's nothing else that they need to be praised for... that alone, is enough.

Hate to break this to you... but I can LRM just fine in Solaris City. Actually, it isn't that hard there compared to other maps (which I can still LRM on).
Of course, I'm not an LRM boat, which may be part of my success... (Not afraid to get close.)
