PGI's spreadsheets say the mech is fine, so don't get your hopes up.

If ghost heat weapon limit quirks are possible, letting Awesome 8Q fire 3 PPCs would be nice.

It's called twin HPPC.

Those take an extra second to recycle though, and only get 2 crit rolls instead of 3.

It is the relatively slow torso rotation causing its crosshairs to lag behind the circle when shifting aim. A person can perfectly shift their aim to bear on a target, only to have to wait a split second for the torso's rotation to catch up. That split second can be the difference between the awesome being useful and completely worthless.

This is true for just about any and every mech. It's because of torso aim lagging behind arm aim that I routinely keep arm weapons and torso weapons in separate Weapon Groups on ALL my mechs.

Awesomes could use some love again.

Ho man i love this vidéo so much... I buy my Awesome PB because i love strange chassis. On the recent sale i buy the Paralyzer because, why not ?!

Problem is that today i can't make my Pretty Baby work again. I have try numerous loadout, some are meta, some are strange, some use Rocket Launchers... But i can't make it viable. Even my Dragon Slayer wich has loose a lot of his effectiveness is more enjoyable to play with.

Sigh...

What it needs are the same things that ALL mechs with bad Hitboxes and/or low mounts need - (But only some actually possess, like the Orion.) Namely, Armor and Agility advantages over similar tonnage mechs. Giving the Awesome 90 to 95 ton effective armor, and/or Marauder/Thanatos level agility would go a long way towards making it a usable brawler-ish mech.
What it needs, if anything, is being quirked more towards being a weapons platform. The 8R is already there if you run the right build, the 8Q feels like it's getting there sooner or later.

Too bad those arm shields are useless and only make the arm geometry bigger.
They are useful when you roll damage properly.

Not sure about this, Horseman. If you look at it, the Awesome already has some good quirks for being a fire platform. The 8R is quite good with the addition of MRM and other New Tech.
It does not need even more firepower quirks, as this would make the Zeus obsolete again. Instead give the Awesome a bit more durability and perhaps torso mobility to reflect its role as a sniping wall of steel. Leave the support role to the Zeus.

Isn't it Fafnir who took the crown of the worst mech in the game from handicapped Awesome's hands?

If you ask me, the only thing that the Awesome could use is a bit more speed and agility..

Otherwise, it IS awesome..

One of the best IS LRM boats in my humble opinion. And can also rock MRM80+5xERML... again.. awesome.
