Why don't you type out a detailed response instead of an ad homiem.
Detailed response to a bunch of statements without any supporting reasoning or examples? Your response doesn't warrant it but sure.
Sounds like whatever group you play in does one thing, as attackers you just pick ONE spot on the route and sit there, and wait, until they're forced to come to you. And as the defenders you probably just make a murderball, wait until the attackers launch their attack and then fight them. That's it.
But instead, as the attackers you can be harassing the flanks the whole way down the route, trying to pick defenders off or pull them away from the VIP while not fully committing and getting crushed. And as the defenders you can do the opposite, some guys escorting the VIP, other more mobile mechs forming a perimeter to respond to any potential attacks or spot a large attack coming before it arrives. And if the attackers are just sitting around then send out some mobile guys and flank THEM instead.
If the game mode is boring for you, then PLAY DIFFERENTLY. As a player, I'm almost always flanking regardless of anything I'm driving because many times a given moment in a battle ends up with two or three guys crammed in a spot trying to shoot two or three bad guys down some corridor of fire. And they're just going back and forth, in and out, shoot a bit, get shot a bit, rinse and repeat while LRM guys sit in the back even further and just click buttons. I was in such a game yesterday on Canyon, and even though I was in a slow *** KGC I flanked around the middle hill because it was literally one of the most boring engagements possible. I'd rather go around, get killed, then shoot heads popping out of cover like some lumbering version of COD.
That's also a reason why I hate River City. Because you can't flank on that map, there isn't enough room. If you go around you'll get spotted and cornered by 3-4 mechs and then boom you're done so instead, sit on your side of the river, shooting at the other side of the river, until 3-4 mechs decide to go across and either start a charge, or get killed and allow their team to be charged in turn.

Also check the founder badge. I have seen a lot more of this game then you.
Put it on your resume, should land you a high paying job for sure
