Nope nope nope. Was really hoping for decent quirks to make up for those really low arm mounted weapons (up to 6 hardpoints down low) and huge side torsos. This isn't a friggin' omnimech, it's a battlemech...WHERE are the quirks?? Even the ones that do exist...which are only on certain variants...are so miniscule that they are basically inconsequential.
Very disappointed.
I will be, and others should be, holding off spending real money on this. There will of course, as always, be a select few who charge up daddy's credit card for this on day one regardless, but I'm fairly certain that PGI is going to miss a whole hell of a lot of sales due to the above combination of low mounts, tiny/no quirks, and possible incoming weapon nerfs. That is a one-two-three KO punch right there, and I sure as hell ain't gonna spend money on THAT.
Mech looks kinda cool though, so good job there...

I understand we will still have the fisheye effect, but it really would be useful for better seeing the size comparisons.

It's just a PTS. It doesn't mean that these changes will DEFINETLY be applied to the live sever.
