Dear PGI,

It seems to me that there is no mention of FW in the last three or so patch notes. I do not recall recent reference to FW in the last few roadmaps either.

Would you please consider giving the community access to FW so we can mod/develop it?

I would be more than happy to:
  • Facilitate the holding of popular elections to a player elected Mercenary Review and Bonding Commission using the forums, poll functions etc.
  • Act as a minute taker for the MRBC. Our first few meetings could be used to propose some options for the future development of FW.
  • Help the MRBC facilitate developing and disseminating ideas to the community to be voted upon in terms of development direction/priorities.
  • Helping the MRBC facilitate the allocation of various levels of access to specific community members with relevant skills to begin the development process.
  • Help the MRBC run a PTS, so we could trial various developments and gauge community opinion, making relevant alterations as per community feedback.
What do you say to letting the passionate MWO community develop FW for free?

Unfortunately.. I'd like for some of those out there to make thier own maps and submit them for vote to see what gets in so we have more of a variety for FP maps than the knock off DOTA ones we have now.

Player made content, made by FANS, can and usually is amazing.

I wish they could release mapping tools and assets, even in a limited fashion, to the community. I am absolutely positive that we have community members that would do amazing work.

To be fair, a lot of the maps are good, it is just player habit that has made them a bit stale.

When you finally break out of that habit, if possible, your enemy really does not like that. Both sides expect XYZ to happen.

For some of the maps and modes a "simple" change in DZ locations can spice things up a bit.

useualy there are only 3 options. A or B gate, with the 3rd requiring jumpers... that's it. The biggist improvement would be to make the maps double if not tdipple in size to facilitate more flanking/ options of movement and objective completion.

Doesn't work Grus, look at Grim Plexus, the outer ring hardly gets used at all, same with Polar, all the Forest Colony fighting happens between G6 an H9, etc...

Sadly this is true, it's the objectives. Why run around the outside when the enemy could just be running in through the centre and take your base / cap point / etc.?

Without objectives it devolves in to a snipe / LRM game which usually takes the whole match to get through 2 waves.

Double and triple in size? You serious? There's already so much walking to be done in Hellebore and Sulfurous for the attackers.
