Your front profile barely changed from what it originally was. Whats hurting the BAS is its mobility, so its pretty easy to take its torsos off if your not its first victim - same as most clan assaults really.

Blasp is like the Whale, not for the frontline.
Sadly, I agree.. It's more of a really big sniper.. although I've had some success with it as a mixed LRM boat (LRM55+4ERML).
Somehow tho, could not make Gauss work.. but that's cose' I suck with Gauss..
P.S.
Yes, I'm also salty about the changes done to the Blood Asp side torsos.

You can also try Blasp-D with 3xCUAC5+CUAC10, with some laser backups.

Both is bad, you may survive a ST loss on a cxl or lfe but you get hit by a hefty penalty, at that point you gonna die shortly after anyway. So doesn't matter.

Well considering cxl offers the best weight saving and survivability then its balanced if there are penalties to losing a side. and it does matter, even if you lose a side youre still in the fight thus able to do damage. where as an easy center torso destruction means you wont stay in the fight and be out quickly.

Same thing going to happen when you lose ST with cxl, your not gonna be fast enough to walk out of the line of fire and at best all you doing is stalling out time before someone finishes the job. Tell me how many shots you gonna throw out before you overheat from the penalty, was your main armament of weapons was on that ST.
And for mechs with easy to shoot ST BAS for example it not gonna last when it want's to use it ST weapons when everyone and their mother will just focus them down for easy points.

Still better than the Whale, in terms of hitboxes exposed when peeking. Much better than its 95 ton IS competitor, the poor hardpoint location nerfed Banshee. No one uses Banshee now.

Oh. For a second there I thought you were going to mention the Executioner.
95 tons is perhaps the worst weight category for mechs; more to do with build limitations than anything. I could toe to toe a Blasp in a Nightstar no problem. Banshee? I see them on reg in QP. Mostly the Hgauss or las vomit. 3 large pulse up super high on that RT is pretty nice.
Don’t know why you mentioned 95 tons tho, as Blasp is 90.
The Blood Asp can be good but mostly it ends up being good cannon fodder and that’s sad.

Definently going to be able to throw more shots out than a mech that got its ct cored out thats for sure.

but your right, we should make cxl insta death on a side torso loss. that way the blood asp will be more useful and cxl will be more balanced
