I have never played FP, until this event. My computer used to be a total potato...i would disco everytime i tried to drop with my unit. It was 10 years old and couldn't handle the memory needed even after I upgraded. Fast forward to now, have a new rig and decided to play since my old unit had pledged Jade Falcon, (they no longer play anymore), I'd go ahead and giver a whirl.

Let me preface this by saying, having a blast...at first.

Now I'm teaming up with guys who can't grasp the concept of fulfilling the objective. Conquest has been on and I have really enjoyed myself, when I was part of a cohesive, communicative and competitive bunch of guys/gals.

The up and downs reminded me of poker swings. Nevertheless, I kept dropping trying to make a difference. Seems like Jade Falcon is losing a popularity contest instead of a real battle - that's just my perception based on names on the opposing side.

After getting ruthlessly killed by caps like the first or second game, I realized this is not similar to qp, where we can kill all the mechs and then cap. We ACTUALLY had to pay attention to the objective. I liked that, but it seems many did not or could not or simply f*ck*ng refused and it made me think I was in qp because of the independent thinking.

No I haven't looked to join another unit, although I am interested, but I know that would solve most of my woes. I just thought it necessary to post here and maybe some guys would take heed: YOU MUST WORK AS A TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS GAME.

END RANT

Not to mention the amount of people prefiring you when coming out of an angle, without having the slightest possible idea of your position.

lol... I prefire on people all the time when they're peeking behind corners, because my allies spot them and I get into position and get ready to blast you the second you show yourself. Or you get the "target spotted" thing on you so we can track your movements for a few seconds after loss of targetting.

There are plenty of ways to blast people who don't see it coming. Don't try to imply otherwise :)

You could be narc'd. Might be a UAV. Might be someone else targeting/spotting you.

Maybe what you're doing is really predictable. Maybe a part of your mech geometry is sticking out and you don't realize it. Maybe you just fired at someone else and gave away your position.

Give Mercstar a try. We are one of the most active FP units, and always welcome those who wish to participate in more organized setting and better themselves. http://www.mercstar....it-application/

I expected the falcons would be winning most games because clan wolf has many of the pugs who joined for the lore of it while jade falcon would attract more good players (I myself joined the wolves from mw2 nostalgia). This was true initially and the falcons stomped pretty hard while I got paired with ppl bringing 8 different types of weapon and firing lrms at 1500m, but the wolves brought it back later and seem to be doing well now. If you're getting a lot of pugs try swapping factions for a few games. Idk how the penalty works for loyalists with the new change but I think there isn't any probation period anymore same as mercs.
