Getting 4x simultaneous jams on 2x UAC/10 and 2x UAC/5 is surprisingly common and it sort of ruins those moments when you go in to deal damage then suddenly you're impotent on the first shot. Posted Image

Also the main reason I have 2 lasers on my MCIIB. At least I can tickle them with my 2 lasers while I shamefully retreat back into cover.

There are definitely weird things with UAC jam. One of my favorite mech builds is the double UAC10 / ERPPC Sunspider Vanguard. ERPPC on mb1, both UACs on mb2. In game, the UACs almost never double jam. Typical play is to peak out, alpha strike with double tap of the UACs. If I try the same maneuver using dual UAC10s on an Ebon Jag, or a Warhammer - in both cases my secondary weapon system are lasers, I get double jams much more frequently. I have given up those builds completely.
On my MCII-B, I have found as well I am best off with 1 uac10 and 1 uac5 on each side, mb1 for left side, mb2 for right. Greatly reduced chances of multiple jams.

Join the RAC rebellion, where we only jam when the yellow bar is full (and in the case of the RAC/2, still not jamming even then).

Just don't use them then there is zero chance of jamming.. ACs and LBX are constant forever.

You do know UACs can be first standard shot like ACs?

cACs really need to go.

I don't care jamming makes them unusable imo.

Worth noting that UAC cannot jam until you try to double tap with them. In lore (afaik) Clans don't even mount standard ACs any longer. They always use UAC.

They can, yes, though on the IS side you pay a tonnage and slot tax so using them single-fire too much can feel like wasted weight.

On the Clammer side though they're the same tonnage and actually 1 slot smaller. For them the downside is generating higher heat. The CAC/10 is actually pretty legit (seriously two of them are heat neutral, try it on a Hunchback IIC), CAC/2 is okay, the other two kinda suck.
