Little Rant

And it's really nothing serious just really annoying.
Frozen City
Skirmish
I'm in a Battlemaster. Doesn't really matter what mech I'm in
But anyways. Whole team starts down the far right side going
Down into the vally and I noiced the Enemy team is doing the
Same. We're going to there side and they are going to ours.
I quickly point this out as we're getting ready to Nascar.
But honestly nascaring would of been better than what happened
And this happens so much on frozen City.
We get to the other side and the whole teams stops and sits.
The enemy team does the same. Just barely poking at one
Another with Er large lasers. I thought to myself.
Ok well this won't last long. Someone will make a move.
5 mins in. No one has done anything. I'm telling the team
Hey we should at least manuver that way some.
Some Pilot chimes in "Nah well stay here"
5 more minutes pass and no one has moved. Everyone still
Poking with large lasers. There is only 5 mins left in the game.
I'm losing my mind at the situation. As this is Tier 1 and 2.
I look at my team and they are literally sitting in the furthest corner
Away from everything. I say screw it and Push my Assault
Towards the enemy. Taking heavy Lrm Fire and lasers galore
Ppl start saying "dude your gonna die" and " Yo man that's dumb"
I keep pushing knowing I'm going to die but just to be able
To leave this team and go onto the next match.
I take out a Rifleman along my long walk to death.
I explode from my CT being destroyed and someone literally says
On comms " Well that was dumb".
The Match ended with Each team standing on both side.
No one made a move.
Thats how the March ended.
I'm livid. Lol

The current game is just strange now. Folks Nascar at all costs in quick drops and are mad at you for picking a really slow mech or moving slow in general and not staying with the pack. Everyone just wants to circle and fire at retreating butts and kill stragglers. It's dumb. The game is what it is and a person can still have fun playing it. The sad truth is that the more experienced players have simply moved on, or do group drops following scheduled play and then not playing at all outside of those hours.

But I have no sympathy for anyone who deliberately costs their team a match out of selfish frustration.
EDITED:
In your case, you were lucky to get a kill that equalised the kill count. But you could just have easily died and lost the match for your team ... I've seen that play out far more often.

While both teams were dumb to cross and camp, you were even dumber to run out of patience close to the end and throw away the match for your team.
I appreciate that you tried to get the team to pursue a better strategy. That was the right thing to do.

Firstly, based on the description, it was a draw.
Secondly, when the drop has become so stale that at 5 minutes to go nothing has happened, forcing the issue -- one way or another -- is the least dumb thing to do.

As someone else already mentioned to you. I didn't cost the Team anything. I got a kill if you
Didn't read. 13 minutes and both teams do nothing. Lol you missed the whole point of the
Thread. You are obviously one of those pilots. Lol You gave us a good laugh man. Always one of those
In the crowd.

It was a draw Dude. And I understand completely and have been in exact
Same situation as that. He knew he was going to die. And was the only
Person on his team to actually do anything about it. He went down fighting and
Hell even took one out.
No sympathy? Don't think he was asking for sympathy.
Just letting off steam because of a really bad match.

No. Forcing it solo is the dumbest thing to do. It almost always results in you dying and your team losing.
If you can encourage get your team to force the issue, that's the right way to go.
But that's not what happened here. OP wanted to get the match over with and derped off into the enemy guns solo. He was lucky to get a kill and make it a draw instead of the usual loss.

He wasn't "going to die". The match was going to time out with both teams sitting on their asses. Or best case scenario, the enemy team was going to blink first and go out in the open and lose.
The OP made himself die. All for the sake of another 5 minutes - during which either his team might have pushed together, or the enemy team might have instead offered up a selfish impatient potato who believes they are entitled to commit sepuku and lose the match for their team to relieve their own boredom.
He was lucky to get a kill and make it equal.

Given an uncooperative -- and idiotic -- team, I sympathize with the OP. The dominant "plan" was to wait till the end and force a tie. I presume he got the highest match score in the end for his efforts.
I myself would have tried to sneakily backstab to also force the issue.

Wanna bet he got the highest match score on that tie?
Who cares hes team didn't win.
But over extending he made sure the enemy had no reason to cross, which was the whole point of staying put.
So that the enemy would get frustrated and impatient and cross (hopefully in ones and two's), but no instead it was he who got frustrated and impatient and crossed.
And Rekt the whole plan coz its all about him not the team

If the plan all along was to get a tie, they sure got it anyway, and for zero effort on their part at all.

They probably weren't planning on a tie. Nobody tries to achieve a tie at the outset.
As OzHomerOz says, they were probably trying to get the enemy team to blink first.

1) The enemy would get frustrated and impatient and cross, hopefully in ones and two's. Why Because no targets are visible.
At least now its a 12v12 fight not 1v12.
2) Both teams dont move and its a TIE and the dude saves hes insurance company the cost of repairing his mech.
The way I see it, is he took a risk that went contray to the teams plan, it didnt payout, and now hes on the forums whinning about it.

I got the point. You're a selfish potato who is prepared to make your team lose rather than wait 5 minutes for the 'make the enemy make the mistake' strategy to work.
Given your Average Match Score is even less than the average of the entire rest of the MWO population, perhaps you should listen to advice rather than ranting about how better players tried to win a match, and how you stopped their strategy from working.
