Did anybody buy this mech? It seems pretty useless to me. Guess people would buy just for nostalgia sake.

Challenge accep... wait!
I'm not very thrilled with the tall but fat version of vulcan.
It should more resemble its skinny but tall nickname "scarecrow".
But if kept fat, then shrink its so its 40t height making it noticeably shorter then an 70t archer.
And it says I'm moving at 100+ but it feels like 10 kph...

Hopefully incubus and champion look better comparatively speaking.
But on the other hand maybe its a good thing I refuse to buy Vapor Eagle because shoulder pad thingys are way too short imo.

And just to be crystal clear I'm no freebie new mechs streamer

I bought the standard pack and have seen a few in game. One game I dropped in my VL-2T and in my lance I had two VL-2T(S) teammates.

I'm actually liking the Vulcan so far considering its specs. It doesn't change the meta and as a 40 tonner it's not going to be that durable, but it's been fun for me so far. I'm a medium mech fan and I like the weird, lanky look to it so its been a decent addition to my stable of mechs.

Once I stopped trying to play it like my Assasins I found it a lot of fun. It plays like a mid point between a striker Cicada amd a brawler Assassin.

I like the challenges, they are a good way to get free stuff while trying out the new mechs.

Standard pack+Hero here. I must say, I'm satisfied. I was afraid it may be less mobile than Assassin, but it is actually has a bit better agility even.
I mostly played VL-BL and VL-5T so far. Both are pretty great mechs. VT-5M should be fine too. VL-2T looks less promising, should still be viable with something like LB10+lasers.

Zombie Gyr can be very dangerous as a mid-range harasser and it is a fun mech to play. I believe that anyone, who likes Cicadas and Assassins, would love Vulcans too.

I have been using the hero in faction scouting. Works well as a striker type like the assassin or javelin .

If hero challenge was a pick one thingy where the player chose between warhorn, standing, or hanging items it could get more sales and interest.

Personally I've no use for any standing/hanging items since getting the all +5% cbill buff and +5% xp buff items from civil war packs (also the solaris buff item) even though after changing mech its a real PITA to equip those buffs on mech.
