It is with great remorse that we have found out about a complete annihilation of a major city in DCMS territory. Millions of civilian lives have been lost on this day. The DCMS is currently holding back any official word as to the losses and what actually happened in the city of Edo. Will update when more information is released.

ISN NEWS (Update)- For Immediate Release:

The DCMS has released the following statement from the recently freed Hohiro Kurita II.

"Fellow citizens and those loyal to the Great House Kurita. As many of you know, the planet Turtle Bay was taken by the hostile forces of Clan Smoke Jaguar. While we maintained a strong level of resistance, the city of Edo fell under control of the Clans. I was captured in their round-ups but apparently they did not know of my lineage. With the help of resistance fighters and other underground contacts, I was recently freed from the city.

It is at this point that I must bring you the horrifying news of what has transpired in Edo.

An uprising revolt of Clan Smoke Jaguar occupation rose from the ashes of previous combat. This uprising was fought bravely by those loyal to the DCMS and to House Kurita as a whole. It was the loyalty in their hearts that allowed them to push the aggressors out of the city limits. But this victory was short lived. Not long after the withdrawal of Clan Smoke Jaguar forces from Edo, a massive war ship entered a low orbit over the city. Its entire weapons array was used upon the city below, and to my horror, the city is now gone. The devastation on the ground is none that we've ever seen in historical combat. While I do not have the exact numbers of casualties, I can say with certainty that the death toll will be in the millions and the majority of those deaths are civilians.

I ask that everyone across the InnerSphere hold strong in the face of this atrocity and we of the DCMS along with any other allies that choose to stand by our side, will make the dishonorable Clan Smoke Jaguar pay for their actions ten fold!"

Interesting... Madness from OUTSIDE the Inner Sphere, but not from the Clan Invasion Area?

I smell a New Opposing Faction about to turn the Faction Warfare Systems into a 3-sided thing! Maybe this New Enemy Faction will have the ability to put any Mech in the game that they wish into their Drop Decks?

well it could be observation of escalating hostility between crusaders and warden clan forces. No mention of the DCMS being targeted. We had a Clan JF versus clan Wolf mentioning tension were raising between clans.

maybe PGI is doing their own alternate reality and having Clan Wolverine make a come back or reenacting the 2825 attacks from the Minnesota Tribe AKA Clan Wolverine. or it is the jihad which makes no sense as the attack started with the attack against the Wolf's Dragoons
