[Powder Puff Pew Pew]

Well Its been a while since I've talked to a fellow Gold Pilot, and I know a few ingame but what I'd really like to know is how many gold pilots are out there.

Is there a way to find out how many players purchased Gold Mechs, and is there a way to get them together in a group drop? Theres been many Gold Mech Discussions on the forum over the past 2 yrs since they came out but everything just seems to die off quickly.

I've been fortunate enough to drop a few dozen times with friends who had Gold Mechs and do tandem Gold Mech QP but it would be amazing to have more than just 2 together. It sucks PGI never made any other mechs Gold, and to top it off the ingame Gold Skin sucks, its dusty looking, and you can't really tell the mechs are actually gold, just deep yellow. The only place they actually look brilliant Gold is in the Mech Hanger.

I wish PGI would fix the ingame gold appearance because its just not even shinny at all. Flat surfaces reflect light but you cant see that mirror reflection you see in the hanger. Its so flat, and reflective ingame its not even realistic.

Anyways I would like to see images of peoples Gold Mechs if you can attach them, with your best pose. I've even learned when the mechs first released that 1 person bought all 12 Gold Mechs atleast I think there were 12 or was it 9? I forget its been so long, and anyways hope you enjoy some of my mech pics. The Gold Adder I have I believe is 1 of like 3-4 in the entire game? lol

I remember when PGI sold the gold mechs, they promised the buyers that they would participate in some "special program", but didn't specified what this meant.

I wonder, any signs of this program at all?

You wouldn't have a screenshot on this or I call bogus, maybe you remember a post form someone trying to get a 12 man with gold mechs together

A lot of initial ideas didn't pan out like PGI was thinking/hoping/promising

Well part of the problem is that I can't remember having seen an adder in the game at all
At least you see a kitfox from time to time

And my Dire isn't exactly a lot of fun to pilot any more, my Anni is more fun, even though it's a bigger target and just as "agile"

Ive never heard of such an event from PGI, nor was I ever notified even for 3 gold purchases. Ive never seen anything pop up in event feeds either which blows. I'm even more disappointed now at PGI for not upholding yet another testimony they said they would deliver on.

There should have been a special event just for gold mech pilots like they do with every Collection that comes out. Why wasnt this honored for $500 of devotion? That seems a bit unfair and hurtful.

i usually target and mark gold mechs the moment I see them.
the big, shiny, eyesores that they are make good targets.

It's the MechWarrior Academy, except I replaced all the mechs with Gold Direwolves.

Gold Dire and Crow here.

There was a limited run (500?) and not all models sold out. When they pulled them some still had over 50 left in stock. Timber Wolf and Crow sold out for obvious reasons.

Now that hardly anyone that plays knows about these things, they can be taken out without fear of tk these days. So there is that.

Is there a way to save Multiple Gold Mechs in these positions? I tried but it doesnt save when you leave the area.

PGI, any chance you can re release these mechs but for a reasonable price? honestly...so few people bought these when they were out for that INSANE price, that i really dont think anyone on the community would make that big a scene. and those who are still around and DID put out the money could get some sort of token or reward for supporting your game to unreasonable levels. other wise, it would be a nice little way to make money for little effort, and we all would be ok with that" as long as you dont scam us with something not worth the value you charge". im thinking like 80 bucks for all the mechs "with 30% cbill bonus", and a variety of Clan standards/ clan rewards to go with it. i could live with that.

I've been trying to bug PGI to at least release the color as a purchase option (whatever a reasonable amount is supposed to be for a gold color), and to add more variety (silver, rusted and what not)
But usually there is no interest

It was very sad the guys who invested so much money in this games were treated so bad.
Teamkilled??? Its always amazing how stupid people can be.
To me they were crazy but I honour them because they helped to keep this game running.

In Star Citizen People proudly present their account with a pledge of a 27.000 $ pack of ships.
One showed his investment of $ 46.000. No fake.
THIS is crazy but wow, this makes a game running (hopefully we get the game within the next decade running).

I would make the golden mechs immune against friendly fire.
Hopefully this would piss some people but maybe it would bring some of these rare gems to the battlefield again.
