The only mech I would love to see is a hulking DVS-3 Devastator. But until we get to tat point in time I will have to go to my old fall back, Any variant of the rifleman.

I'm sorry to say that a goodly number of these mechs won't be available for quite some time - possibly a year or more. We are running on a 1-1 timeline as far as I know and won't even see clan battlemechs until 3050ish and even then you'll have to kill one to get it - a daunting task to say the least.

Heh, am I the only one who thought the original Rifleman, Marauder and Warhammer designs were horrible and actually really liked the Project Phoenix redesigns?

Seriously, I have a Reseen WHM-8D, MAD-6R and RFL-8D, and while I'm aware those specific variants are decidedly not around yet I far prefer them to the older designs. The old Marauder constantly looked like it was falling over, for goodness' sake!

In terms of heavies, in true Davion spirit, I would definitely go for an uparmoured Rifleman (RFL-3C is a good period variant), even without the RACs you can't argue with a Hanse Davion design and a pair of AC10s.

When was the Templar first introduced? It's one of my favourite 'Mechs, but I was under the impression it was a relatively late introduction.

Good Forum thread. It's hard to know how everything will work in-game
until more demo footage becomes available.

Reseen Rifleman is pretty same, Old Warhammer is much better, but I like both marauders - old is cool, but new is sort of win too.

About mechs - one man made a list of Project Phoenix mechs available at 3049

looks like we got our first davion made mech the centurion. looks meaner and i like the new image except the legs look a little weak but does look quite agile for a slow medium.

3062-3067-ish. It is in tech readout: 3067, a product of the FedCom Civil War.

I presonaly would like to see a Hammerhands. The Warhammer's older brother. :)
HMH-3: 2 AC/10s, 2 medium lasers and an SRM-6 with jump jets
or the HMH-4D variant that looses the SRM-6 and the jumpjets for a PPC.

And it is a Davion 'mech.

And doesn't re-debut on the battle feild until 3075 out of the desperation of the WoB Jihad. It's impressive looking and has jumpjets, but it's so slow, too slow for a heavy with only 11.5 tons of armor.

For now, Centurion is my staple Davion mech of choice that they have released but I'll also be looking to pilot a Catapult for those Fire Support roles. Eventually if they give me my Mad Cat I'll be in heaven though, I'll take on an Atlas in one of those any day.

As a longtime fan of the Mad Cats, Shadow Cats, Cougars, and other Clan Tech Mech'. I'll be happy and very precise in any of these battle monsters. In MechWarrior 4 my most useful mech was always a Mad Cat or a Mad Cat MKII because i load it out to do some serious damage.

The Mech i wish to start piloting would have to be an Atlas because of gauss rifle capabilities, once i salvage a Mad Cat, that's what ill be using.

marauder being the longest heavy mech seen in the MW1 to MW4 even upgraded to IIc so foregone conclusion been the fav among Inner Sphere.while i see Rifleman undermine to be just a support-role mech.Warhammer is staple for me in Davion hands can unleash chaos among battleline.

Give me the Axeman- Not only does it have a frikkin' axe, but its also a pretty nice looking mech and has a fairly decent number of lasers and autocannon. (I always loved those rocket pod style weapons like the Axe has on its shoulder)
Here are the fedsun mechs I would be pretty sure are no brainers to include:
Centurion (already confirmed), Bushwhacker, Hellspawn, Osiris, Owens, Wolfhound, Uziel...

Keeping to the time line the developers have laid out their are two mechs I would love to see in the game that have not been in one before but were certainly arround in 3049 and were widely used in the board game they are ruthless opponents They are the

75 ton Hammerhands first seen in the IS in 2475 with 4 varients and an
original load out was
2 autocannon 10
2 medium lasers
1 srm 6

The second and really a brother of the Hammerhead was the 70 Ton Battle Axe also first developed in 2459 preceeding the Hammerhands and 5 tons lighter mait just that much faster. With two varients in production the primary included

Load out
2 PPC
2 LRM 5
1 SRM 6

Those 2 ppcs could really ruin a pilots day.

These would certainly give House davion and the iS 2 heavy mechs with the ability to stay in a fight with the other houses and with a good pilot kick some clan spawn out of IS space. They have also not been seen outside of the board game and would give us a fresh pair of mechs to learn to fight.

One problem is the Bushwacker, Hellspawn and Uzeil come well after the time line 3055-3067 not likely to be seen unless they are abandoning the time line and I think that would be a big mistake with the hard core Battletechies.

Only the Wolfhound, as the Osiris and Owens come out in the late 3050's. The Hammerhands and Battle Axe are also out of time-line as they are Age-of-war mechs no longer in production because there are other designs that do what they did better - namely the Warhammer.
