As for a bad computer, ha. I still pull out the old lab top that was new in 2010. I think the most I ever got out of it with MWO was 16 or so frames per second and now at less than 6 frames per second. hell I even got on the Archer leader board when it came out with 6 fps or less. even one shot a flea with an AC 20 with in the last week with it. Still do not know how, but fired when it felt right.

Try not to take this personal, I really do not mean this that way.

But I was waiting for "that guy". There is always someone who says I play on a Commodore 64 that runs at -2 FPS and I still do 1800 damage per match.

Now I did not say damage, just how the hell did I pop the light.

this is not personal to me and made me laugh a bit, but I really never like damage as a condition of being good, maybe playing on the potato affected that. I like KMDD and components destroyed. Now I have a few hundred damage point drop with the potato with direct fire weapons. LRMs/ATM (especially ATM's) can be just freaken ridiculous on the right map and right conditions with the new computer, just like the potato. I had the best LRM match on mining collective, a well known anti LRM map. LRMs are not much lower with the potato, but still it is a lot harder right now to get locks with the changes. One thing to note is, I am a very aggressive LRM boat pilot and many times have lead charges or provide back up for the initial light fights that happen on larger maps.

Still when away in a motel, nothing is more is more satisfying than pulling your wang out for a spin and popping a light with one shot.

Below was after the archer came out and I had torso phasing issues with it going side to side on it's own along with the low frame rates. After this I took a break mainly due to work load. It started with the Zues patch before the urban mech came out and ended some time after the spring of 2017 with the mech Parkinson. That was worse than the low frame rates and even makes me wonder why I stayed playing the game, thats right I started a world of warships account. Yay, it was very bad phasing right to left uncontrollably until you hit center and that lasts for a bit, but is a hell of a way to tank torso twisting.Posted Image Almost like cheating.

There are other postings on leader boards but these are the ones that I really remember as highs for me for the different time periods. low frame rates when I optimized the potato, after that zeus patch (augh, that still gives me nightmares) and after the new computer. What I could do with a potato my unit commander and RJ thought, wait till he gets a new computer and watch out. Well that happened.

Now I have been know to be sent out by my unit commander to hold up the entire assault lance in group drops, then happen to kill them over and over with out taking more than 5% damage in a Griffin, while doing back flips over them to keep the 180 m range. Those games were on termoline. Now the old caustic I have been know to get to G5 area and just pick off a medium right off the bat with no damage again and again in the griffins. Now doing the back flips in the griffin, well I think someone was going a wee bit out on a limb with that one, but I did not see it from their prospective. I had an adder with one ERML with SRM ammo loaded but had Streak 6 launchers and still did over 350 damage at about 14 fps on the old caustic valley.

The worst part is the unit has been doing some sunspider drops with 6 LRM 15's in the buggers and guess who gets to run the NARC/TAG mech for them. The resident LRM boat pilot that has corrupted them into thinking LRM boats are short range weapons and that you can charge the other team with. The sight of 30 LRM 15s is priceless hitting the two annihilators one at a time at 300 with two AMS kit foxes trying to protect them. I lead the team around the other team without them seeing us on Polar Highlands. One of the annihilator pilots was streaming then and we got to watch it from his perspective, ouch. Then I was pop-tarting streaks into them with my bouncy NARC/TAG/Streak huntman. Some thing like the griffin no less.

That is what you get for being good at MWO, lol.

No one trusts me to do anything so I never have any responsibly.

Going from low tier 5 to almost maxed tier 1 after the new computer last year I was able to learn a few new things.

1. most people do not run radar deprivation so LRM'em.
2. There are people out there that use terrain to mask their movement and do not need it since you will never get a lock on them due to them limiting their exposure time. Those are normally elite players and you are going to die.
3. LRMs can be effective anywhere at any level, depending on the skill of the user. like "reported many times for hacking LRMs" I like to call it abusing the confines of the LRM flight paths to make them curve around things to hit people in cover that they have no right hitting.
4. Tier 5 is a bugger to get out of. Everyone going their own way or like 4 Lt's finding there Own north. teamwork does not exist yet.
5. in game voip can cause team work, if use for other than insulting other players.
6. IF certain players are on the other team make damm sure that you do not face him, but kill everyone else first or at least kill him first if you have no other option. Some players are just that damm good.
7. wait, you can put some SSRM 6's on the Nova Cat and make it that much more dangerous for Piranha's or other lights while having enough LRMs to give other people fits.
8. If you have enough LRMs, who cares about AMS, LRM'em. Although AMS Nova drops can be brutal for you. That is the nice thing about dropping with your unit. We did a drop all LRMs, then switched to triple AMS nova. The other team has another unit that just got showered by us so they took all LRM boats and we charged them. That was 18 AMS's vs 6 LRM boats. we never got hit.
9. if you can play different playstiles. Why, what you can do unto others, they can do unto you. So you know what to expect.
