Is there a new definition of 'Pay to Win'? I've always thought of pay to win as being forced or heavily enticed to pay real money for an in-game advantage. C-bill consumables work the same as MC consumables so there is no advantage to buying consumables with MC.
I got 11 days of premium time in my 208 loot bags but premium time does nothing to help you win, it just gives you better rewards for the same gameplay regardless of whether you win or lose.
I got my 500 match score game with a double ATM9 Arctic Wolf ACW-Prime, though I think I did use my consumable during the match (a c-bill cool shot). The Arctic Wolf Prime is available for c-bills, the ACW-P arms and ACW-A right torso omnipods I used are also available for c-bills, and the cool shot I used was a c-bill cool shot. Anybody could play the game without spending a single dime, earn enough c-bills to create the loadout I used and play a game in which they equaled or bettered what I did to earn the match score.
This game is not pay to win. It's pay to progress more quickly, but in any single drop there is rarely an advantage to spending dollars versus spending c-bills, and even then it's only when a 'meta shifting' mech comes along that's available for money but not c-bills.
The last meta shifting mechs were probably the Piranha and MadCat Mk2, and they're both now c-bill mechs. And I even hesitate to say meta shifting mechs are P2W because it depends on the player. Before I got my 500 match score in my Arctic Wolf I dropped 4 or 5 times in my Deathstrike for the sole purpose of trying to get the 500 match score and couldn't do it - I'm just more comfortable in medium mechs.

2k dmg in a scorch? HOLY PLAYER SKILL BATMAN!
It's one of the most under rated 'Mechs in the game. Whenever I want a huge kill count I jump into my LB20-X SRM Scorch and will probably get a 5-6 kill game at some point in the evening. It's a monster of a brawler.

I just want to mention here, that something like a year ago there was a problem of getting 150 match score in FP. The scoring system was different, les generous.. And you had to do it 10 times or so.
Nowadays Mechwarrior is just a game for whiney milenials, who can't score decent ONCE. Thats why the game loosing playerbase.

Farming match score in FP is always done in scouting, where no such penalty exists.

Had a very strange game a very few days ago where something unexpected happened:
5 KMD, 3 Solo Kill, 5 Kiiling, 4 Assist, 798dmg, 735 matchscore.
Its probably one of the highest ranking matches i ever played.
Completely - as usual - without Consumbables...

yeah its is quite achievable, 500 match score. ive gotten over 700 a few times without any consumables and my highest match score only had 1 coolshot.
My favourite game was getting 748 matchscore in a Stalker 5S, 6 MLs and 4 MRM10s no consumables, 6 kills and 6 assists, i hit literally everyone. its all about positioning and map awareness, come from the side and clear out half the team
