I want the ability to kick...have dreams of PGI incorporating that into the game then have many light pilots NOT read the patch notes.. KICK which shatters or severely damages a light/med leg and also sends it 10 meters away from point of contact while being stunned for a few seconds...

That goes both ways. While you may lord over those Lights in your supposed superiority, they can just as easily jump jet into your face and kick your cockpit in... Suddenly your idea isn't so ideal for fattie lovers.

Why? The PPC is already too hot to use as a brawl weapon no one in there right mind will try to use it as such.

buddy you have not used the pre buff ppc. They should be hot considering they are an energy balistic, which most balistic weigh alot and need ammo ppcs dont. Its instant damage too simply shoot and twist, also "skill" tree brings its heat down by alot.

The skill tree doesn't bring heat down enough to be usable as a brawl weapon....

Pre-buff ppc?

I'm not saying they shouldn't be hot I'm questioning why their heat should be nerfed if they are already too hot to use primarily in short range combat....

I would be okay with that!! Of course PGI would likely restrict it to legs only... but even now it can be difficult to make cockpit shots for most people.

That's a cheap answer.

The correct answer is to find the underlying principle abstracted by the board game mechanics (if any) and translate that to something more suitable for an FPS.

the one thing pgi likes to do that is very boardgamey and needs to die are dice rolls. diceroll crits, diceroll uacs, diceroll most missiles, diceroll uacs and so on. i kind of think its a major crutch to the implementation of better mechanics. not that pgi cares about changing core mechanics. the only time they did a mechanics change that didnt just turn the ***** was when they redid flamers. i suppose you could count newtech but that kind of feels like a rehash of old mechanics.

what i cant say k-n-o-b-s? is that canadian slang for something because ive never seen that used as a bad word. always as a way to control your volume and other tweakables. i like ***** you hipsters need to stop trying to get rid of them.

True but -10.5 heat gen makes the weapon much cooler than usual and alows more shots than an unquircked skilled mech and thats not counting the base quirks each chassis comes with. Certain chassis have bonus ppc heat/cooldown reductions.

pre buff ppc according to most people were apparently "weak", they had more cooldown and slower velocity. I personaly had no problem using them i would lead my target more than a balistic and with some practice got used to it.

With the min range removed the regular ppc outclasses other ppcs because it is mucher cooler than an erppc, the whole point of erppc being without min range and the obvious longer range capability at the cost of extra heat. Not to mention the ppc already outclasses the ac10 by having the same damage, being lighter weight and not being ammo Dependant. Hence if ppcs min range is removed its only fair to nerf its heat and velocity otherwise they will be more good then they already are and no ones going to use erppc or ac10s.
