Your mech is garbage. You got that damage because there was large ammo explosion in the RT of the Kit Fox. Nothing about your build earned that.

Also 10:30 UTC on a workday? Try dropping NA primetime where your fellow players are not unemployed Russian potatoes.

As many have pointed out the build you used is to put it bluntly way under potential.

Did you swap out the 270Xl for a standard? I can't seem to figure where you put all the tonnage you should have.

When I attempted to duplicate this build I managed to come up short by 3 tons.

I even kept all 6 jumpjets the 11th DHS and CASE as well as maxed out the armor.

41.1total tonnage and 3 open crit slots is what I ended up with.

Are you running that build under tonnage?


Here are my suggestions for optimizing the build. I kept an eye towards retaining the play style and general performance so it's not all that different.

so without further delay here it is step by step.


Remove the CASE and 2 jumpjets (if you kept all 6 jets and the CASE)

Replace the 270XL with a 280 LFE

Remove 1 ton of AMS ammo and 1 ton of HMG ammo (don't worry about the HMG running out the other weapons will be more substantial )

Remove any heatsinks

Add in light ferro armor

Remove some armor from the head to even out a half ton of weight ( I think it's only 1 armor point you need to remove)

So now you have 6.5 tons for energy weapons.

Now you have options.

You could do...

ER large laser + 3 small lasers (adds reach to the build you have now)

4 ER-Mediums 1 DHS and a BAP (adds some reach and damage as well as enhances your recon ability with the BAP for counter ECM) You can opt to instead of adding a DHS add more ammo a TC1 or 2 jumpjets.

You could also ...

Swap out the HMGs for normal MGs or LMGs with one ton of ammo remove one jumpjet (total 3) and use 4 medium pulse lasers add 1 DHS. (my own Kuroi Kiri uses this build with LMGs, Ferro armor and 4 jets)

To much ammo
To many heatsinks
CASE is mostly a waste of space (especially if you don't pack ammo with the CASE like how you packed the legs.)
You probably do just fine with half the jumpjets.

And why oh why did you remove the endo steel? To add in heatsinks you don't need?

This is the heaviest armament I would attempt on the KK - LB10X and 4ERSLs (UAC5 and 4 MLs is also possible) with LFE280 engine. After you get the ammo capacity skills you can drop 0.5 ton ammo for another JJ if you like:
KUROI KIRI

If you are more of a peek & poke guy, this is a right side peeker. You can also poptart though LLs are not ideal for that. You can opt for regular LLs if you want to be closer to the action: 2ERLL, 2ML, 2LMG, TC1, XL300:

KK is still the lesser of the Pheonix Hawks.

Balance front/back armor to your liking.

My Phoenix Hawk boats Medium Lasers like a boss. I can't remember if I'm doing regulars or ERs since we got new tech. But the thing still works. It's one of those mediums that has a bit of an identity crisis and thinks it's a light. If you're good at playing lights, you'll probably do pretty well in a Phoenix Hawk. I have found the same to be true of the Cicada, Assassin, Viper, and Ice Ferret. They're just lights with a bit more armor.

Here she is: PXH-1K

She runs a bit hot but she moves like a light, so in most instances you can choose to disengage if you're getting too toasty. I still can't remember if I replaced the Medium Lasers with ERs or not. I can't log in right now to go check either. I feel like I might have stuck with regular mediums though because I did not find the increase in range to be worth the decreased rate of fire and decreased heat efficiency with the way this 'mech plays. You can try it both ways though if you want. I do know for a fact that I put ERSLs in the torso though. I think I did that because that gives the small lasers a similar range profile to the medium lasers while simultaneously avoiding ghost heat limitations, allowing me to alpha strike and fade. If symmetry isn't as much of an issue to you as it is to me, you could also move some of the mediums to the CT to make getting disarmed slightly less of an issue, but I wouldn't recommend dropping the small lasers for more mediums because that would cost you a heat sink and she needs every heat sink she can get.
